AB itself will never make a good beer. They simply choose not to, it is something that physically will never happen.

Yellow fizzy beer is made from quality ingredients, from what I understand. You may hate the taste, but it's still good hops, malt, water, corn, rice and yeast.

I'm jus pointing out that goose island will most likely go downhill because they're owned by a huge corporation. If they are lucky it may not happen for a while and if they're extremely lucky it won't happen at all. I'm saying the these big corporation generally just suck the life out of a what was a good thing. SN is a great gateway into craft beer. However, i don't think they're top notch or even close to for that matter. Just my opinion. But I could see how another company could produce similar beers at an even better price point.

I drive as little as possible, within reason. I don't purchase Microsoft products. Google I use but sometimes regret. And I don't buy beer from A-BInbev, M-C, Heineken, or Carlsberg or their subsidiaries (with rare exceptions).

I make an effort to support small businesses, on principle. I don't try to impose this choice on anyone else, but I do think the underlying issues are worth talking about.

In my experience, there is a lot of talk about small businesses, evil corporations etc. on BA but for most BAs* (strictly IMO), taste is the king.

We love craft brewers because they brew better beer. Other things are on the side.

When Goose Island was bought by AB, I figured I would buy their beer only on occasion. Since then I haven't got a chance to purchase their beer :-/

While uncorrelated, the joke's still on me.

    * People I trade/drink with. Or we are a small scumbag minority among BAs.

What did you have to trade for those limited edition beers? The cans are so pretty.

sure, but mc donalds, no!!!! if it is high quality meat then it would be too expensive for burger king. They wouldnt be able to make enough off it to keep their prices low enough for the average bk customer. Same with inbev

I don't think anybody (maybe a couple exceptions) is getting rich making craft beer.

Yeah, I know. I'm definitely with you on this one (minus the meat part... vegetarian), just playing devil's advocate.

Closing this down. Pointless snobbery, and the OP is also confusing quality with personal taste.
