I'd like to be able to filter my Beer Hads by style, and then be able to sort that list by rating. I'd like to see how I rank my IPA's, DIPA's, Imp. Stouts, so on.

If this interests other members and the Brothers, would this be doable?

    Cheers.

I believe you can already sort your beers by:

Date Beer Name Brewery Style ABV Rating rDev

But I believe we aren't able to sort within the sort, unless there is a way that I don't know of..

You aren't, but I agree that it would be a nice feature to have.

It would be nice to do that... I agree with Rollzroyce. I would use that feature if available to me.

I'd think it's doable as I've seen a lot of different databases that allow for such searching at the individual level. Have wanted to do that more than once for my own ratings as well as for the overall ratings within styles. And with all the site redesign plans maybe it could be included.

Completely agree with this - it would be a great feature! Would also love a country/state filter, which could in turn be sorted by rating...

I've been asking for filtering on the reviews for all fields long ago, it would be a great feature, and code wise it's fairly straightforward (depending on design).

I'd like to see any of the fields have a sort or filter field. I think with the 2 you can view most of the metrics you want. (filter by brewery then sort by rating, filter by style and sort by ABV). For date and rating metrics ideally a range selection would be better.

Microsoft Access and Excel will do all of these things given the right information....

    @Kyrojack

I've tried to do this before, it's a little unwieldy, though I'm not the best at Excel. Perhaps I could give my wife, a Microsoft guru, a "project."

Bump! Would be a great feature. Comparisons within a beer style are extremely relevant and it would be great to be able to easily look at it.

If the ability to filter was added, this would be a really useful feature. I've sorted my beers by categories such as style before, but it is very time consuming to cycle through thousands of reviews to figure out where a style I am looking for starts within the list. The only shortcut I've found is to advance one page (e.g., 201-250) and then manually change the URL to change the starting point in the list (e.g. ?start=2000 to jump to 2001-2050) if you need to go very deep into a list, but this becomes a guessing game.

I would love to be able to sort by all of our personal stats. It would be useful to find out what style, state, adds, etc.

If I want to see how I've rated all the beers of a certain style, English browns for example, it takes a lot of clicking "next" to get past all the styles that start with American. Is there any way to go straight to a style of at least a page number farther down the line? Same for breweries. Getting to Sierra Nevada takes a lot of clicking. Thanks for your consideration.

Filtering ratings by style has been previously requested.

As I mentioned, the only shortcut I've found is to advance one page (e.g., 201-250) and then manually change the URL to change the starting point in the list (e.g. ?start=2000 to jump to 2001-2050) if you need to go very deep into a list, but this becomes a guessing game.
