Had it at the Saucer yesterday.

Reports of it being at all like a Berliner are greatly exaggerated.

Still, it's not terrible. Serviceable wheat beer.

If you're disappointed because you wanted a Berliner, it's your own damn fault. NB doesn't call it a Berliner, and they advertise only a "flash" of tartness in the finish (which I found to be accurate). If you want a very drinkable, interesting, refreshing wheat beer, you'll enjoy this. If you want a tart Berliner, buy a tart Berliner.

Many people are searching for a berliner that we can buy in Texas, which is not really happening yet. I think everyone was excited at the possibility of this beer hitting that want, but it apparently does not. That does not make it a bad beer, just not what a number of people were looking for given initial descriptions before anyone had tried it.

Yeah I get that. I'm among those dying for an easy-to-find Berliner here, and I have high hopes for StA's Boiler Room. But criticizing or dismissing a beer for not being what you wanted it to be (as opposed to what the brewer wanted it to be) is ridiculous.

I don't see anyone dismissing or criticizing the beer. Am I missing something? Everyone says it's good.

It's a good pale wheat... with just a slight tartness at the end.. I liked it...had it at Flying Saucer Sugar Land.
