Firestone Walker Sucaba (2014, Batch 004)

It's not going to hit NY/NJ for months is my bet. I don't believe Sucaba 2013 hit NJ until April

 

Any East Bay Sightings? I've yet to see it in Berkeley/Oakland area.

Just picked up a bottle in the western burbs. I suspect the Binny's out here will get it tomorrow.

 

I'm not entirely certain why there is even an arguement in this thread... Firestone Walker's Sucaba is one of the absolute best barrel aged barley wines available. Sucaba>BCBBW. Parabola>BCBS. FW>GI. Period.

 

Skokie Binnys told me "probably Thursday" last Saturday. I got bottle 5 of 6 received by Evanston 1st last night (1 left).

 

Feeling very anxious to get some Sucaba.

 

Orland Park Binnys tweeted on Sunday they got some in

 

I'm in the Northern Chicago Burbs. Local liquor stores got it today, but aren't selling because they said pricing is wrong. Waiting to have corrected before they sell. Said it's at $28, what is everyone else paying?

 

Heard it was from $16 -$18.

 

$28??? freaking rip off .... I've been hearing $14-17 pretty much around the country

 

That's why they are not selling. They got the wrong pricing and are waiting for it to be changed.

 

That's great...I could think of a few stores that would just leave it at the $28.

Any of the Binnys have a bottle limit?

 

Binny's Schaumburg has a 1 bottle limit, and you have to specifically reference Sucaba by name for them to bring it out for you (as opposed to just asking if they got any special or limited releases in the back).

Picked mine up over lunch

 

South Loop was 1 as well, and it was in the back (ask for it by name).

Come to think of it, E1st was in the back too :-)
