Expected Releases in February

Oh, god. You CANNOT PLAY WITH MY HEART LIKE THIS, ABBBP. BCBBW dropped with no warning or indication in Atlanta just recently. I received a look that may have been "no" or may have been "well, I can't say 'yes'..." when I asked the owner of my favorite shop whether this meant we'd get Coffee and Backyard Rye as well.

As much as they have have to offer I don't bother with them anymore for releases. I can easily get what I want somewhere else without queuing at 7am. I admire the hustle, but don't understand why others haven't wised up.

 

I've been known to show up a for some releases, my last one was the initial Bomb, but I refuse to get there any earlier than 0930. If you have to get there earlier than that fagetaboutit!

 

So If I added that up right you scored a case? Great haul! Enjoy your Bomb!, it's a fantastic beer.

Haha I'm rather new around here, but from what I can tell, Matt Chow would just have someone willing to sell him 2 cases at once lol. I don't chase all the new releases, but when it's a beer I really love I go all out.

Rats. I did not enjoy Backyard Rye as much as I hoped. Not to say it's a bad beer by any stretch. Just wasn't my cup of tea. Good thing I found another 4 pack of regular BCBS on my travels.

If anyone wants to do a Fort Worth IP trade for some Backyard Rye let me know. I'd love a bottle of Atrial, but may be willing for something else. Shoot me a BM.

 

Don't know if it was expected but I found some 1/30/14 bottled Union Jack on the shelves today. Awesome how you can get that so fresh here!

So does getting Backyard Rye also mean that Texas will get BC Barleywine as well ?

 

Any Bomb! still hanging around in the Northwest Austin/Cedar Park area? Seems a lot of my "go to" spots from the last release either didn't get it yet or aren't getting it in...

I did manage to grab one bottle, but it's just so freaking delicious...

 

HEB on 620/O'Connor is supposed to be getting it on Monday

 

Lakewood just posted on facebook where their Raspberry Temptress is being sent out to, starting today. Doesn't look like it will be at all difficult to get growler fills when it's showing up to places like Craft and Growler, The Bottle Shop, Whole Foods, and so many others. They've also got a special release planned at the brewery this weekend, my guess would be Bourbon Barrel Raspberry Temptress, or some other BBT variant, but maybe that's just what I'm hoping for instead of an actual educated guess.
