My favorite examples of Geueze that you can find/trade for:

    Golden Blend
    Armand and Tommy
    Lente and Zomer
OGV especially older years (these are tougher to find especially 02)

Other more rare examples like Millennium, 99, ect are amazballs too but not your everday drinking geueze for most people

Hanssens. I'll take it over Cantillon or Drie Fonteinen any day.

I agree, and while technically not a Gueuze it's made in pretty much the same style. I actually have it rated higher than 3F and Cantillon. But again that's a beer that's not easily obtainable for some.

I don't know about everyone else but gueuzes and nice lambics are the hardest styles to find on the shelf for me. I nearly crap myself when I stumble on a retail Cantillion or 3F.

Lente is a must if you are as passionate about Gueuze as you say. There is nothing like that beer that i have experienced before. Its a really special brew!

I usually drink 3F & Tilquin, though can get Cuvee Rene at some local restaurants.

Yea good luck finding any 3F or Cantillon without having to take a massive dick up your BH.
Look for Gueuze fond tradition by St. Louis or Timmerman's Oude Gueuze. Hanssen's Oude Gueuze is probably my favorite of the more obtainables.

Nothing beats Girardin. Its far more drinkable than Cantillion. More complex than Drie Fonteinen. More balanced than Hansenn's.

Duck duck gooze is top 3 all time. Haven't had my beautification yet so that might change pretty soon

They make a lot of incredible world-class beer & they make a lot of unique beers that are unlike anything else on the market. They sell them for excellent prizes & they do their best to make them available at the brewery. A glass of unblended lambiek is 2 € at the brewery. If you are local they are even better than people think.

If you are not local then you have to trade for them or by them at a cost that 10 * often what it is at the brewery. Too many people hoard them, many beers are drank when they are not optimal. That is not the breweries fault.

Bruery makes some wonderful stuff but they sell them often 6 * times more expensive than Cantillon does & they have the whole society thing.

If you are thinking of the rare one-off Cantillon’s, keep in mind many of these were made back when they were struggling financially & needed to do something to stay afloat. They sold these beers to their costumers at a price that is many, many times lower than you think what it was. Sometimes they remake these beers for them because they helped out the brewery back when no one was doing so.

taken from this site as the definition as some beers posted here are American sours not geueze...

    Description:
A traditional Belgian blend of young and old Lambics, which are then bottle after blending, then aged for 2-3 years to produce a dryer, fruitier and more intense style of Lambic. There is no hop character, some are filtered and force carbonated if not pasteurized as well. Some say that this is the more harsh lambic as the sourness is pretty intense.

I wasn't blaming the brewery at all. Just making a comparison that seemed appropriate. That being said, I'm quite looking forward to my first cantillon. Unfortunately I live in a very rural/agricultural part of California, so it might be a while yet.

So far Cantillon's Rosé De Gambrinus from May 2013 (the only one I've had) is my favorite beer of all time. I suspect it will be topped some day (more recently Alpine's Chez Monus was pretty effin great) but the day I had the Rosé De Gambrinus I couldn't imagine anything better.

You should try the bruery kumquats or the wanderer

Yep, I was in RS last year, HS this year, had tons of SitR Kumquats and Wanderer, both great. I love Bottleworks XII, too. Only Bruery sour I think is really overrated is the Rueuze, very one dimensional and nowhere near as good as the classic gueuzes.
