The Bruery's 2014 RS/HS Allocation Thread

Smooth Criminal was the best of the 3, in the opinion of myself and the group I went with. It's nothing particularly special, just an anniversary blend, but it drinks well. Bois Fume is decent, not too heavy on the smoky flavoring, tasted pretty good. And Tumescence is pretty drinkable as well. Heavy fruity notes, and goes down very smooth.

 

Lost my Melange No. 9 order . No compensation besides a refund...Wish they would have replaced it with something just as good....

Not a HS (sure spending a good amount monthly though...).
Checked my account to verify it is still there and see the message:
"RS member - refunded M#9 - do not fulfill!.."
Guess no prize for 2nd place

I know i'm not a HS...but it was a good effort for seeing it online and buying it fast.

 

Mine was just deleted, no message. I would make sure to follow up that your credit card gets refunded. The site glitched for me during the BT release and I was charged duplicate despite having one order (both payments cleared, not just pending.)

I highly suggest checking your credit card statement in a week to make sure you're getting refunded properly.

 

Awww...that sucks. Maybe someone not using their full allocations can step up and offer to purchase one+ for you guys? ie- Pass off some of their allocations to you...

 

Hopefully . I was going to share the max allocation with my friends. We were stoked. If I can trade with any HS member(s) I'll gladly share one bottle with my friends.

 

Mine got refunded as well. It was worth a shot!

 

They accidentally let you buy a HS exclusive beer, caught their mistake, and corrected it, and you feel entitled to extra compensation beyond the refund?

 

Yes, they should have at least given us one other hoarders bottle to make up for our lost time.

 

ive had em except for bois fume which i dont think i would like. smooth criminal is EPIC GOOD. and i fully recommend maxing out that one. tumescence was just ok. the mango completely overshadows the raspberry..id say go try it before u buy. for the record im not getting any. wish i could buy more than 3 smooth criminal..ill keep going back to the tasting room til its out

It wasn't my mistake that allowed it. I'm sad I won't get my purchase, but i'm not destroyed by it either.

Maxed out on my allocations for February as it is.

I am a huge supporter of The Bruery and love the brews they make. Guess I'll wait until I make the HS (if that does happen, before I go broke ).

It would have been a nice gesture of them to reward you for knowingly trying to take advantage of an error they made? You knew full well your not a hoarder, but tried to get when while you could. Shame shame.

Of course I would have probably done the same.....

 

Crooked stave would just keep your money...

Where did you have this? Given that it is scheduled for a September release, I am surprised to see that anyone has tried it already...

 

It is on tap at the Tasting Room according to TapHunter. Also saw some folks checking kt in on untappd last night

 

I think they did a few kegs of it last year that were on tap only at the Tasting Room. I think this year they will be releasing bottles.

 

I had several tastings last year in the tasting room. Not to my taste, but interesting.
