Im being entirely serious when I say that was the EXACT result of the three year vert of KBS I did last spring shortly after the release party...the '11 was liquid gold, the '13 had that intense freshness, and the '12 was surprisingly non descript but I have a few more bottles of each year so we'll see how it goes...

I try to buy as many as I can too, but lately its only been two. So I crack one up within a week of when I get it and save the other for sometime later in the year. I just think you should at least have one when you buy it. Trying KBS is the special occasion!

My first trade ever with @DrChadly was when FL did not have Founders distro. I sent a bottle of KBS as an extra.

You just opened a can of hate..good luck. Bottle limits and people trying to "get around them" do exactly what you mentioned, they bring their mule (wife, fiance, dad, friend etc..) to pick up an allotment as well. While it may seem harmless having your wife or someone do this for you image being behind ten people all there for the same guy. Pretty shitty. Making a local road trip is probably what more people attempt to do since there really isn't anything "wrong" with it per se, but then you still get the stories of one guy who got two cases by taking the day off work and hitting up every store, leaving nothing left in town.

You could say that someone doing this much work deserves their spoils I guess but look at the resulting hype that has been creating on many beers and the pressure to get them for these very reasons. Moral of the story: be a good dude and don't cheat the system

There are bottle limits for reason.

Try and be respectful and follow them. It's there to allow others to try the beer as well when it's limited.

Every state has plenty of demand for BCBS and KBS. If NJ sold more beer, we'd get more of the limited stuff. It's pretty cut and dry. There's a reason why NYC gets more of every release than we do.

Exactly don't blame the breweries, I'd put the blame on the distributors. I feel like they are always running out of product, and if they kept more inventory, they'd sell more beer, which in turn would get them more limited allocations.

In Pennsylvania, many of the "distributors" are only licensed to sell by the "original packaging," or in other words, they can only sell by the case! Sucks in a way, and it is "gold" for the luck few that find the store and buy that case. Very few locales have made it so that the stores can "break package" and sell the 4 or 6 pack, or even the single bottle.

Dinosaur laws, but works in a few people's favor.

It's good but it's not nearly as good as the hype. Since you live in MI try Dragons Milk it's much better IMO. Also there are better examples of coffee beer such as Kopi Luwak, that stuff is amazing.

To each his own, but I wouldn't think twice about shelling out $30 for a four-pack of KBS, whereas the only time I would likely ever find myself drinking Dragon's Milk is if somebody else purchased it for me.

Do you have beers to trade? Don't see any listed. Please put them on your page if you do!

I don't keep a list on BA, but I've traded several times with BA members. If you'll tell me what styles are you interested in, I could offer up some ideas from my stash. Probably best to PM me so that we don't hijack this thread! Ha!

Really pumped about this release again last year I scored 3 4packs. This year hoping for an entire case. Better start drinking the last 5or 6 from last year!!!

i'd be happy with just 1 4-pack instead of fighting to get one single bottle
