That's a big assumption. It's beer week, tons of beers in the bay this week that aren't in distro.

You should ask them why they lost their Russian River distribution.

Meh, that dude and his crew have been known to drive down to Alpine and hoard out brews to take back to the Saloon.

Ask them when they'll get a Russian River night.

Admittedly, I know nothing of the saloons history, issues with RR or their business practices. I was assuming the comment was based on out of distro beers being sold their, which occurs all over the bay during beer week...legally. Wasn't trying to stand up for them, sounds like they've had issues I'm not aware of.

So did Perry's lose their RR stuff too?

Yes. Along with their other spot, Bottles in El Sobrante. I even heard that their other family's store, C Mini Mart in Dublin, was stripped of their RR account also.

The Saloon never had any RR on tap.

I don't get all the hate for these guys. They seem to love good beer and they get it in peoples hands. Sure they charge a premium or mark it up but if people are willing to pay for it than that's on them. But we are talking about alcohol which has a proud history of crossing legal line and shit don't they call themselves the beer baron. I dig it.

Sad to see so much hate in this thread :slight_frown:

All the beers being served at the Saloon today were provided directly from the breweries specifically for this event. The bottles are to be consumed on site only.

Cheers everyone, and by the way the Hop Venom is phenomenal!

Guess what... Russian River is not the only good brewery around.

I know the Hair of the Dog came from a trip up to the brewery and brought back. Don't think it was for SF Beer week. They are selling in at perrys (with a nice MARKUP)

But, you are getting the opportunity to purchase some beers that you wouldn't be able to get otherwise. If you don't like it, don't buy it. I would have bought some Adam if they had it

According to Harpreet, from Perry's and The Saloon, they were given permission to sell that Hair Of The Dog and the Cascade they brought back in their store.

Does the mean he asked his parents? Or did he get permission from the ABC?

    Permission from the breweries.
