its worth it whether or not you get a case. grab some great pub only stuff on tap and some good food too. maybe you will time it right and find some other goodies in the cooler.

Hopslam is good because it is different from the hundreds of fungible IPAs on the market. To this day, it has a unique flavor profile that you just can't find in any other beer. Whether you like it or not is up to you, but there is no denying that Hopslam is a unique and well-made beer worth buying, if for no other reason than there really is no substitute.

My palate seems to have come down from high-alcohol IPAs to appreciate the better balance you get in a low alcohol pale ale, and therefore I did not enjoy Hopslam nearly as much this time around. But boy oh boy, that finish still gets me.

For those in Hampton Roads, Virginia...the total wine received their shipment this morning and they have a one 6-pack/person limit. I think it's around $24.

Is anyone still looking for some Hopslam? My Meijer just got 4 cases of it in dated 1-21-14, still in the back room. I can get some if anyone is looking to do a trade, let me know tonight!

Still had a shitload in the cooler yesterday - 1/28/14 bottle dates are what I saw.

Nothing else special in the coolers though - the taps were a different story:slight_smile:

Looks like it's finally hitting South Florida. Too bad the hops have already completely faded.

Bowery Whole Foods, in NYC, has bottles listed for $3.99. However when you buy the sixpack, it's a nice surprise that is is only $20.00, minus taxes and bottle deposit.

I purposely did not read this thread prior to trying so I wasn't persuaded in any direction.

Got the last glass from the keg at Rattle n Hum in Manhattan on Wednesday.

I thought it was good, but nowhere near deserving of the hype or #20 on the list here. Sucks and Dirt Wolf are MUCH better, easily accessible and cheaper. Probably not something I would seek out again.

I was hoping you were a little closer to the Ann Arbor but oh well, I still have four left to tide me over. Thanks for the info

For true fans of hopslam, it appears I am the luckiest person in this forum. Not only did I get a case a couple of weeks ago (56$), I was able to secure a quarter keg today. I have been drinking hopslam for 7 years, and I know tastes change every year, but IMO this is the best batch since 2010. Bells seems to have worked out the expansion issues and got the beer back to where it belongs. The quarter keg was 150$ (equates to 43$ per case or $10.50 six pack). I love huge bitter IPAs like Enjoy By or Headhunter, but to me this beer is in a unique class and deserves every bit of its top ranking in the world. Everyone is searching for the next great IPA, me included, but that doesn't mean a historic beer like hopslam is inferior to a new generation. Enjoy it for what it is and try not to compare it to the "new" beers in town, time will tell if they truley become a classic like hopslam.
