    We were very close to the front of the line last year, near that little bus stop bench on the sidewalk (maybe 50 people back) and a very nice guy started passing out egg mcmuffins. He had a couple of sacks of them. Friends of ours had a coleman coffeemaker and we were well fueled by the time the fuzz asked CCB to open the gates early. I have no idea what kind of insanity was going on way down the line but I do know the po-po was none too happy. Just before we were let in around seven a.m., the one patrol car that roared up to the gates almost ended the lives of three or four hipsters. They had to leap out of the path of the squad car.

    It sounds like the event is "growing up." I'm actually glad about this. One, there's going to be plenty of beer inside, so I don't really feel a huge need to crack bottles in line....which I did last year out of boredom more than anything else. Two, it'll be amazing to actually get up at a reasonable hour and have breakfast - the whole waiting in line thing turned out to be pretty pointless last year, but at the time I didn't know it'd be pointless. I feel like I'm past the point in my life where I want to head out at 6AM and join a queue that's already thousands of people deep.

    Hope they don't pull a Floyds and put all the barrel aged stuff in the taproom... it's at capacity all day and no one ever leaves.

    The Tasting room will be closed until 5 PM, so no worries there.

    the past 2 years we've not put anything crazy in the tasting room. it's too chaotic. not going to start this year.

    @gunhaver,

    Any word on which food trucks will be there this year? That's one area where I felt there was room for improvement over last year was the food trucks.

    I thought the food last year was pretty stellar. But it's not like you're a great resource of information. In your previous incoherent posts, you were almost wrong about all the things you said about last years hunaphu's day event.

    but yeah. after i got my case of 6 beers (early too since doors didn't open till 11) even though my gold wrist band only got me 2 bottles, i had some food from a pick up truck, thought it was bland. need more foodwhales.

    The no drinking in line is a good thing. I have no idea how many absoulutyl piss drunk people I passed while in line to get in after the gates opened. I remember one 50's ish lady who had pissed herself being held up by what i can assume to be her mid 20's daughters. (they all looked similar). That was just sad. I think the cops called a cab for them.

    Yes. It is closed to the public but it will be open to the people at Hunahpu's Day. If you read back the post you were responding to, you will see that nasty31 was talking about BA beers being released in the tap room during Hunahpu's Day to which you said:

    What he was saying has nothing to do with the public so mabe you were mistaken when you answered him.

    I know what his post said, I wasn't mistaken at all. I hope they change their mind, some A/C would be nice occasionally. We'll see i guess.

    I still remember the zoo it was in the tasting room when the Jolly Guava was put on a few years back. I do not think I have gone into the tasting room during Hunahpu Day since then.

    Yes, it is.

    Seems like it will be small unless something changes. 10-15 people or so. Still openings.

    Probably going to finalize the list by Tuesday. If you are on the fence, sign up anyway. It is going to be pretty laid back as its a pretty small share. If you can, try to list what you are planning on bringing by then, so we don't get duplicates.

    What's wrong with duplicates of good beer?
