While watching Prince Charles give the BBC Scotland weather report tonight (yes, you heard that correctly) I realised that I'm still drinking pretty heavier higher alcohol beers considering the time of the year. And tonight it'll be Celebrator Doppelbock followed maybe by a Westy 12 or a high octane stout.

Anyone here still in 'Winter mode' because of the unseasonably brutal weather?

Why is everyone I know drinking Ayinger? I always wanted to know where in the UK sold that beer.

Either way i'm preferring the lighter more thirst quenching beers at the moment as i'm not drinking enough (enough water, squash etc) so i'm constantly thirsty. Hooray for laziness!

My new job curtails me to Sundays and 20/20 but I'm already looking forward to my first TB trip of the year for brekkie at the TBI and great beers in, what, at least six pubs a short stroll from the ground.

The weather is rather tricky. I've a 20 minute walk from work to the pub; it can be the sunniest of sun as I stroll upriver and then it sheds it down. Although with Buxton Imperial Black on, I've stopped giving two stuffs about the weather ;-)

There was a selection of Buxton beers in the Stratford Haven on Thursday.Castle Rock pubs seem to have a policy of showcasing beers from different micros from around the country.Plus their own brews of course for which you can use your Wetherspoons 50p discount vouchers.Plus a few others too.
