After drinking a few of these beers over the course of the last month (including one side-by-side with Heady Topper), I've come to the conclusion that I like this beer pretty much as much as I do Heady (which is to say they are both top of their game beers)

The only complaint that I have about Hi-res, which causes it lose some measure of value in my book, is that HT costs about $3 per 16oz can, and Hi-res costs at least $3 per 11oz can.

I understand that there are many factors that go into cost, including the fact that Sixpoint (gladly) distributes over a broader area and the Alchemist does not. Nonetheless, the decision to go with 11oz cans (as opposed to the standard 12oz even) kinda irks me.

    Just my 2 cents

Incredible beer, 4 in a pack was not enough. Need to have this on draft next.

Are they still brewing in Wilkes-Barre PA or did they switch breweries?

It is my understanding that any Sixpoint beer that is available in cans is brewed at the Lion Brewery in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

    Cheers!

Don't worry Mike. We'll be starting our distribution with Fuhrer in March, beginning with draft only.

    cheers!

Best beer Sixpoint has made in my opinion.

Wait...what? If that's the case, I'll call my father right now and send him. That's like 10 minutes from where I grew up.

    @Sixpoint
How long will this be available for? It is limited release, correct?

Any thoughts of distribution to CA? I somehow convinced my wife to pick me up some of your brews while she was at Fashion week for work, and she came back w/ a single can of Resin, Hi-Res, and Global Warmer. Excited to try them, but would love to be able to get them locally here in Los Angeles.

Had some on tap at Rattle n Hum last week, while visiting NYC. It was pretty good, so good, I got me 4 to take home. Gorilla Warfare was badass! I just wish they'd distribute down here to South Carolina. They distribute to FL and GA, why skip us?

They are 12 oz. cans (granted, non-standard Ball slimlines) I paid $8.99 for the four pack in NJ - so, the same ~19¢ an ounce as your quote for Heady Topper.
(Fuel costs for trip to the store was much less than to Waterbury, VT area .)

$8.99? Good for you man, but you sure got a deal, buddy :-) I think $11.99 or $12.99 will be par for the course for most of us.

no reason why hi res should be compared to HT prices...completely different beers and even if they were the same profile, there is no reason to expect sixpoint to charge the same price per can as HT just bc HT is considered the best beer in the world...operating costs, taxes, and other things in NYS versus VT play a role

Sixpoint are sneaky about their pricing. They could win an arguement with me on the subject, but they'll walk away knowing just what the fuck I'm talking about

I paid $10.99. Maybe that store has a sku for all Sixpoint seasonals , and didn't verify the price?

Can you elaborate? Earlier in this thread, I thought he was pretty open about the pricing.
