if your really after the shape founders makes a glass of the same exact shape to hold you over until pipeworks can produce them in large quantities. If you want a free snifter, dk, they are really nice people though, but you might as well pay for one and support them though.

second BA release should be at the end of this month. FWB should be getting an e-mail about it shortly. There will be a MUCH wider release of Heaven Hill Barrel Aged The Jones in late April/May that should see similar bottle numbers (availability) to one of our regular releases.

    February 7, 2013 Update

Marilime Law and Pipeworks Simcoe are back with a vengeance!

    Marilime Law

If the cold weather is prohibiting you from going to the grocery store, Marilime Law, the ale brewed with lime zest and lime juice will help you ward off scurvy (because we all know it's never too cold to hit up the liquor store). This DIPA hopped with tons of citrusy hops, originally brewed in collaboration with our pals in PA, Tired Hands, will remind you that warmer weather will eventually come. We think it pairs well with seafood, tacos, and more Marilime Law. $10.99 22oz 8.0% ABV

    Pipeworks Simcoe
The IPA packed with the fruity, yet, piney Simcoe hop is hitting shelves this week. This batch is tasting great. We certainly deem it not just "crushable", but "highly crushable".
    $10.99 22oz 9.5% ABV

    On the brewing horizon:

The Mighty Thor - Imperial Wheat Porter. Fuggles, Centennial, and Amarillo hops. It's real good.
Ninja Vs Unicorn - Double IPA
Hyper Dog - Milk Stout with Coffee

Agreed, this one was really good. I would rather have regular easy access to this than have to chase down bottles of abraxas and bomb.

I dig the label art and the cause for Mighty Thor - will definitely grab a bottle when they hit shelves around here!

I definitely enjoyed the heat that lingered just perfectly, but I found the base beer to be a bit too sweet. I guess that's to be expected from a milk stout base...just my preference. That said, if I could find more Imperial End of Days, I would likely buy another bottle or two to quench my reoccurring chili beer cravings.

I think they might be saving them for when the bottle shop opens. Maybe holding out so they can put them on shelves when they open?

i'm really not good at keeping secrets... because it's too fun to tell them...we're a few days away from signing the lease on our new facility.... which once completed will allow us to put ~15,000 barrels per year worth of beer into bottles, cans and barrels to start... with room to brew somewhere north of 40,000 barrels (or more, if we wanted to grow that big... we have no plans to, but the space will accommodate that). We hope to have a barrel program only second to GI. Once we get this deal going...we're going to have some major parties... =p

Just hearing what could be on the horizon is pretty exciting.

Ps....very much enjoying the Game of Jones as I type this and obsessively play THREES on my phone.

I like parties. Keep up the good work Pipeworks! Just sad that the potential of the Western brew pub/taproom just 4 blocks away may be dead.....tiny tear drop

Damn, the North Av. and Western location is gonna be no more? I just hope the new spot is still on the Near Northwest or Northwest Side, at least.
