Man, I am very surprised at all the love. Far too sweet tasting for me. I LOVE almost every beer sixpoint puts out, but this one just wasn't for me.

I tell you, I have not been a huge fan of Resin, but Hi-Res raises the bar for DIPA's. It is a great beer that delivers in all areas (sweetness, hops, abv, and overall impression). I definitely need more of this before is goes into hiding for a year. @Sixpoint

Sneaky? I would like to know just what the fuck you're talking about. Sixpoint isn't available locally but on 3 different occasions in the past year I bought cases of Resin (Righteous and Bengali Tiger also) in State College, PA for $40 each. Love the Resin, underwhelmed with the other two but that is undeniably a very good price.

Happy to see Sixpoint will finally be entering the Western PA market.
Hope to try Hi-Res before it disappears.

    Bottle King, East Windsor.
Yeah, I'm thinking that, too, what with all the shock at that price. I went Nugget Nectar shopping and came up empty, saw the Hi-Res on the floor, just delivered, and picked up a 4 pack to hold me over. Didn't know the price until it was scanned at the register. Noticed they still had some the other day, now on the shelf, and with a printed shelf tag for the same $8.99.

Calm down Nicholas. Just review the price per ounce, the variation in can size, particularly the move to 11 oz, and then also what is being chosen to go into some if those smaller can (mister Global Warmer, you overpriced slap)...and knowing it is contract brewed to boot. Meh.

What cans are 11 oz? I thought they sold 12 or 16 oz cans?

Triple IPA (10-15%), now there's even talk of Quad IPAs (15%+), whatever, I'll try anything at least once!

LOL, there are no 11oz cans, we currently put our beers in either 12oz or 16oz cans.

they have finally hit most locations here in tally, and I have to say, its pretty good. Far more of an Americana barley-wine than a imperial IPA (with its huge malt backbone), but its still a great brew. I still prefer resin however!

I have one in my hand right now and it is 12 ounces. Is there only 11 ounces in it?

Had my first one yesterday, and really did not like it. Will be doing review after I've had a second or third, but it was harsh, unbalanced (even for a DIPA, which is one of my favorite styles), and medicinal. Seems like they're pushing the schtick, given the 11.1 ABV and 111 IBUs.

Awesome. That makes this discussion more interesting...or erroneous

Why don't you come out and say whatever it is you want/don't want to say. The can says 12 ounces, so if there is some discrepency with that, can you elaborate?

Resin @ $8/4pk is tough to pass up here in SEPA.
Couldn't say no when I found a case of Hi-Res yesterday for $65.

I did. I usually get my beer from Total Wine and the day I inquired, they told me someone came in and bought the one case they got. I went to a... lesser known place where they had 6+ cases of it on the floor and I picked up a 4-pack. I picked your beer over some other ones last night btw. Good stuff.

I drink 'em all. First beer of the night is usually a *IPA though and last night the Hi-Res was calling out to me. You sure you won't can and distribute the BA 3beans?
