Founders KBS Release (2014)

THIS exactly, grand rapids is perhaps the best beer city in america so why not make a trip around the release. you get 8 bottles of KBS and a kick ass beer trip. take the drive to oddside and get as much BA mayan mocha as you want.

p.s. 8 bottles equals 4 bombers dont people drive from ALL OVER THE COUNTRY for 3 bottles of high price Dark Lord???

 

Come on kevin, really? How do you percieve my question as either whining, crying, or bashing? I was simply asking why they announced details about the release but left that part out.

 

#mulemom is a legit running 'joke' between some friends and me, as we have three of them in our circle. We FIBs pull out all the stops.

 

No, I do, I just think we have different definitions of what "special" means. 8 bottles, with the convenience of picking them up without waiting in line, a full 10 or so days before it hits shelves is plenty special for me.

 

I'll say this if you're from Chicagoland, you could take a day off to go buy a guaranteed 8 bottles, maybe sample some Founders brews, and stop at local bottle shops for interesting brews like Shorts OR you could take a day off to spend just as long truckchasing to pay significantly higher 1 bottle limit prices and end up with less KBS. I got two bottles last year because I don't truck chase, but I still had to take an extended lunch break to get those two, go to two different stores, and get charged $9 for a single bottle at one of them. If I am able to get a ticket, I'll be happy to take a day trip to get 8 of some of my favorite beer.

 

Not going to drive up there for 8 bottles, but I'm also not going to bitch about it on the internet.

I am assuming if they are going to announce something like that, it wouldnt be on the eventbrite page.

I wonder if they are going to check IDs, to keep the super secret something special from getting to outsiders. If they do, I hope they announce it in advance, so there is enough time to get a fake ID.

Founderz is actually a Chicago brewery but they're just in Grand Rapids bc of tax reezinz
