German brewing is growing again. Numbers in all but 3 federal states are up (with 4 new breweries in Hessen @boddhitree!, 6 in Rheinland-Pfalz/Saarland, and 7 in Berlin).

That's because of the bier we drank while we were there. You're welcome!

And then there's Berlin/Brandenburg... Hmm? Looks like it's leading the charge!

I've already printed it out... 27 pages... and highlighted the beers I want to try when there. It is 50% longer page-wise as it was last year. I can't wait... anyone else going? I've already made a plan to look up Matt Riggs from Faust Brauerei, who will make their debut this year, when I'm there.

I showed this to my frau and she says we must attend… I don't know if she's serious or not, but we might be in attendance.

First beer, the Bernstein, which was said to be a top-fermenting:

Anyone else see a little Firestone Walker in that logo?

Some more beers from Pax Brau. I have had the Vollbier and the Oatmeal Stout. First time for the Pacifator.

Where did get them? They're hard to get, unless you got 'em at BKL. CHEERS.

I bought them at the mall on Ramstein AFB. They also had a Belgian style beer that was barrel aged. It was 40 euro for one bottle which I passed on. It sounded great but that was more than I would spend. Do you know what that beer is?

Pax doesn't have a Belgian/barrel aged beer that I know of. The closest to that description is the Braggot, which is here:

Was that it? Otherwise, there isn't a beer in Pax's line up that fits your description... that I know of.

That is it. I love Belgian and Belgian style beers, but at the price they were asking it was too expensive. I think Pax Brau makes great beers for many different styles but the price on this was too high.
