Like everyone else on here, I enjoy trying out new breweries. I have only heard good things about this one, both from friends and reviews on this site. I haven't had anything from these guys/gals. I plan to try as many as I can. Anything really stand out?

I liked it, didn't love it like I had hoped. Limited food menu but still sufficient. Coffee stout was fabulous, Berliner Weiss was sold, norms is a really good ipa. The rest I had were ok. I expect the beers to get better as time goes on.

I went for a short time last week, only tried an IPA or a pale ale, don't remember which. It wasn't bad, it was my second stop of the evening, so I didn't try a bunch of beers, didn't eat either, wish I had. Place was cool, I sat at the bar, and they had the garage doors open, nice day out, nice atmosphere. I can see sititing on one of patios would be a nice experience, if the weather is good. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
Interesting location, I'd love to live in the neighborhood across the street and be able to walk there.

The Bourbon Cherry that is on now is great along with the berliner. Norms is very good and the Bonnie's is solid as well.

I've yet to visit GC but have had their Grind Line Pale Ale and Norm's Raggedy Ass IPA. The pale ale was very plain and simple. Grassy hops and an easy drinker. Just an average pale ale IMO. Wouldn't necessarily order again. The IPA was a bit better; nice and citrusy. Slightly above average IPA. Def worth a shot.

I'd really like to try their Berliner and some of their BA stuff. I'll have to check the place out next time I head down to Kuhnhenn.

I enjoyed the BA stuff, the berliner weiss, the saison and the brown. Will never understand the love for the IPA. It's nothing at all special.

Just got home from the brewery tried 11 different brews. Pissed that I forgot my notes on the table. Very good brewery. Looking forward to my next visit.

I could drink the Saison and Red Rock all night long, love those brews, haven't had a chance to try the Berliner yet

Those were both very good. The berliner cracked my top 10 since I have been rating. I can't wait to try more.

The Berliner is the one reason I can't stop going. Absolutely perfect version of the style IMO.

Berliner and Cherry Bourbon were excellent. Flanders was kind of muted flavorwise. Saison was okay. Pumpkin was very good and the taste I had of my wife's wit was really good. A little pricey for my blood but I'd go occasionally.

It's very pricey. I want the cherry, but am to lazy to drive 4 miles to the brewery

Prob late, but the berliner weiss is a must try....like everyone on here has said! They were out of both syrups that complement the weiss on my first visit...actually they had run out of a few things including the wheat wine (I heard from several people that it's solid) and their BA coffee stout. The trippel was average and norm's raggedy ass IPA was great.

It was awesome. I enjoyed their whole lineup. The berliner was the star though. Got to go to Griffin Claw and Three Floyds last weekend. Got to try a lot of good beers.

Not far from home, but glad to see I'm not the only one put off by $9/10oz pours at the brewery. It's kept me from visiting. No good reason for those prices at the source except to insinuate "its expensive, it must be great" I've tried almost all their stuff outside the brewery (at the same price) and they are decent at best, no matter how many "awards" they claim. Then again it's Birmingham, one of our wealthiest city's, if it wasn't overpriced the locals wouldn't buy it.....lols!

Go up there and give the non-expensive ones a whirl. Dan m,akes some quality brews. Cherry Tripel, Bonnie's Ass and more are very well done.

Agreed. Besides a couple beers I had issues with one time in the fall, all the standard stuff has been great. I enjoy the Pilsner, Brown, Pale Ale, and Red. I am a sucker for good pilsners. I was not a fan of the BB imperial, or Flanders Red when it was on tap. The Rye Wheatwine was awesome a couple weeks ago.

I also don't think $9 for a 10 ounce pour of BA stuff is horrible. It is better than $12.

I guess I'll have to go and drink my words....:wink:actually I've tried to go twice but ended up elsewhere cause I wasn't driving, so I guess it's not really keeping me away.

Worth is different for everyone. Beyond the BA and specialty stuff, I think the standard beers a priced right and generally solid. I only have to drive 5 minutes to get to it though, so it is definitely worth the trip.
