I agree on the Oxbow Sasuga. That was such a delicious, refreshing beer. That is the kind of beer I want to have on tap permanently from May-September every year.

I am so beer-ed out. Bleary, bloated, bombasticlly beerified, so many standout brews: Off the top-o-head:

    Strubbe Ichtegems Grande Cru
De Dolle Stille nacht gravity barrel
    Goose Island Gillian
    Allagash Merveilleux
    Bockor Cuvee Jacobins Rouge
    BOM Heaven
    BOM Hell

Funny, don't feel the Cantillon stood out, it was very fine, just hanging with a tough act to follow crowd.
Next year, less Belgium and more sour day for me, yep that's the ticket. A man has to know his limitations.

    Tried:
    Struise T.H.R.E.E
    Evil Twin Justin Blaeber
    New Belgium Apple Love
    Perennial Savant Beersel
    New Begium Le Terrior
    Goose Island Lolita
    Evil Twin Femme Fatale Yuzu
and somehow ended up with a free Maine Beer Co. Zoe

Highlights were the Perennial (I really wanted La Boheme, but it was kicked) and both New Belgiums. The Apple Love was mouth-puckering sour, and Le Terroir was the perfect blend of sour and hops, I was really impressed with that one.

Last time I was in Cindy's in Elkridge, they still had this on the shelf, I agree, an impressive sour/hop blend.

Are any of these beers still on tap if I went there this weekend?

    I
I'd venture a guess that only bottles are left from the 72 hours. The crowd was light on Friday, but Saturday, Sunday and Monday were very packed, imagine that drained the drafts. But they usually have a few belgians on tap anyway all the time.

No disrespect to CaptFrothy, but I'm going to disagree with his statement. Max's doesn't start rotating back in the regular line-up until after the sour fest, and it's not as if they're going to store half empty kegs until the next big event. In the past, I can recall there being in excess of 30 Belgian beers on tap the weekend after the event. Of course that being said, there's usually a good reason why those particular beers are still flowing; they tend to be the least popular of the draft line-up during the event. That being said, the Captain is certainly correct about the usual line-up. A "few Belgians" is an understatement, IMHO. Typically, Max's almost always has upwards of 20 different Belgian and Belgian style beers on tap, so if that's what you're looking for, you can almost always count on finding something interesting on tap anytime you stop by.
