    It's dam near 60 degrees here, but the wind is sweepin' down the plain. Makes it feel like almost "brrr". Time for a Porter or a Stout. Yep.

    I usually can't do most overly sour beers, but this one is just balanced all around for me. Wow! I'm slightly taken aback :flushed:.

    2008 Vintage Westvleteren 12 – my last bottle of these. Past its prime, tastes like metallic sherry syrup, okay but not all that. I have had quite a few 79 bottles which were quite lovely but the beer is completely different now, I wouldn’t keep the new ones past 5 years. Funny beer, too young fresh but doesn’t seem to keep too long either.

    So I was depressed I missed out on getting some Sucks, missed it at three stores then the kicker was at bar the keg kicks just as I order it!! So I was able to get some Two Hearted and some Nugget. To my surprise my son, 25 who I brainwashed into being a BA picks me up a Hop Stoopid for tonight. Have a great Saturday night all.

    Just picked up Vengeful Heart barleywine from Kane Brewery. Very cool, fun place. Plus this beer is like a delicious meal!
