Could you label the cans somehow so that we know which one is which? Like, a date stamp, sticker, tape ribbon on the top of the can like Souther Star does with their seasonals?

The boxes they come identify pretty well which beer is which. I understand if you were mixing batches in your fridge, but it doesn't seem like there has been more than 1 available at any one moment.

They are all IPAs and usually take a month or more in between batches for releases. Why hold an IPA for that long? Drink up and know only the current batch is in your fridge. I usually only get 1-2 four packs and they are long gone come the next batch.

I only got 2 or 3 four packs of the HIPA and wished I had more now. I held on to the last one til mid October and it was holding up well (not perfectly). I think it was BY FAR the best one, though the two cans of DIPA I had may have been off...
If I mix them I'll put a masking tape label on one type (haven't had three at once).

Agreed I had a few Half IPAs around the same time and while there was some drop off there were still better then most stuff I can get off the shelf in Houston (except Weekend Warrior, I love you weekend warrior).

When I had more than one variant I just took a sharpy to the bottom of the can. Worked well enough.

FYI: there's at least 4 cases of HM English IPA in E1G. Most of the big box stores are sold out.

Didn't you just post in another thread that you need to avoid that place until the Holidays are over?

We're sending Heavy Machinery Black IPA Black IPA out this Wednesday (the 15th).

    From the box:

Our first Heavy Machinery release is a Black IPA (Editor's note - this was going to be our original HM release, but the cans weren't ready in time so it was a draft-only offering). Dry-Hopped with Falconer's Flight and Simcoe, it has huge aromas of pine, citrus, and tropical fruit. But unlike most dark beers, this one has almost no roast flavors. It's not a hoppy Porter. It's not a Cascadian Dark Ale. It's an IPA that just happens to be black.

    7%ABV, 50IBU

Hey guys and gals (ok, just guys),

This year's batch of Double IPA is almost ready. It should be all canned up and on the shelves by the end of next week. Over 600lbs of Citra and Amarillo this year. Ouch.

Did you guys use more hops because you made more beer, or was this a change in recipe? Either way, take my motha effin' money. This was my favorite DIPA last year.

If any Dallasites are going to be in Austin after the release (or any Austinites are going to be in Dallas after the release), someone should totally hook me up with a four pack. Very, very ISO.
