    Closest city is Ludwigsburg.

    You'll love it.

Recently bought an old house and covered up the crawlspace where the old cistern used to be (was already filled in with rubble/dirt when we moved in) and made a shelf there. I underestimated what I had and filled up a temporary shelf near it as well (no pictures of that one, sorry).

No, we have our own forum even in the regional section!

I'm so jealous of these beautiful basement cellars. Owning a house in Vancouver is about as realistic as owning a house in Brooklyn.

Hah, pretty much. I own a house but it's only got a low crawlspace. I may build some low shelving and begin stocking up!

I'd drink the Le Terroir soon, and get it into a frig now. The magic of that beer is that it's a hoppy sour. Once the hops fade it's a pretty "meh" sour.

Plus it's pasteurized so its not going to change at all.

I've been told by a long, long time NB employee that the flash pasteurizing doesn't get everything, just most of it.

Had a La Terroir last week, still super tasty with nice hop presence.

I don't make a lot of money and I live in an apartment with limited space. I got this little wine cooler a few months ago at Target to store beers that I want to age or keep at a slightly warmer temp than the fridge. The only things I'm aging out of this are 2013 Abyss, Firestone 17, Black Butte XXV, two BCBS 2013, 2013 Prairie Noir, Southern Charred, and maybe the Karbach 007 Hellfighter. I also have a 2013 Alaskan Smoked Porter and a 2013 Double Bastard in my regular fridge that I plan on holding on to for a while.

I one day aspire to have a house and an awesome cellar like a lot of you other guys.

i started renting cellar space last year, since i live in LA and don't have a basement. i'm sure the cold closet thing is fine for a while, but i'm amassing enough valuable beer that i want protect my investment so to speak. feel more comfortable with a place that doesn't have big temp fluctuations.

look forward to enjoying / experimenting with properly cellared beers in the upcoming years

i don't have any fancy shelves but here are some pics of the space.
