I believe this is how they've been evolving over the last few years. He's brewmaster, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's largely absent from the day to day brewing activities at the Hilltop brewery except when there's issues/questions bubbling up from the staff brewers.

I think that you are spot on. Both Dan and Deb have made comments in conversations we have had; the comments have been something like this:

"Dans favorite beer style to brew is sour beers"

    and

"brewing sour beers is my hobby and I have alot of fun brewing them".

I would say that brewing all the year around beers/seasonals/fruit beers would get to be boring after the many years that Dan has been hard at it. This is Dan's new and exciting expression of brewing! We all enjoy the "fruits" of Dans hard labor and new passion! New Glarus is at the top of thier game!

I've heard the lakes are something like 95% frozen for the first time in decades. Who wants to gas up the truck and smuggle some across to Michigan for me?

I've still got a few raspberry tarts sitting in the basement but that won't last. I'd love it if they increase their distro, you guys in WI can keep all the spotted cow you want, send the fruit this way
