King Sue was amazing. Very close contender to Abrasive, it was that good. In fact, it was better than Abrasive. And screw Heady at this point. I got a growler of it to take to our bottle share tonight and have been craving some more. That and a glass of MD made for an awesome first trip to Toppling Goliath.

I have to agree with Hawkeyenation about King Sue. It is that same Pseudo Sue aroma and palate of gushy grapefruit and passion fruit citrus with a dank undercurrent that reminds me of green onions. King Sue is VERY similar to Abrasive on my palate. And as fresh as I had it, I would drink the King over Abrasive, both are obviously EXCEPTIONAL beers.

And I know this is not the Heady versus Abrasive thread; but after having Heady for a third time on Thursday, that beer is a DISTANT third to Abrasive and King Sue in my opinion. Again, Heady is an awesome beer, but that would be my third choice. It does not pack the complex citrus and dank punch I find in Abrasive and King, nor meet the tremendous mouth feel standard set by King.

Sorry man, you missed King Sue by about an hour. I hope to meet you on March 8 for the next tapping of Mornin' Delight though!

Also, a huge thank you to Nicole and Lydia at TG, best bartenders on this god damn planet. I have never left TG not feeling like I am walking on cloud nine, not just the beer making me feel that way either, just outstanding people.

^ well the brewer said earlier in the thread that they would give 60 days notice. Which if announced today would be Sunday May 27, next Saturday after that is May 3.

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully it will be later in the year then. Maybe June or July.

I'm not sure this is or would be entirely accurate....either way, it's useless speculating. Wait until Clark or Mike actually say something regarding the release.

My post was entirely accurate. Mike from TG said on Feb 12th "a minimum of 3 more months"

They said they will check the barrels in 3 months. And when they know the beer is ready, will give 2 months advance notice for a date.

    So 5 months (minimum)....
