Send your beer to KC, we'll buy it up.

Did you not have access to it in CT?

    KC has a good scene.

Or at least give us (people that don't have access to draft only) some kind of malt bomb to balance out the (delicious) hop bombs. : )

Aesthetically, I like the tall cans. Feels like a more premium product, worth what I pay. Also I enjoy the artwork on the can. But, the most important thing is the contents of that can.

Seeing that Hi - Res is the only beer I had by them I'm inclined to go with that. Had it on tap also and it was damn good

Resin so far. Don't have access to Hi Res yet, but hopefully we've gotten that sorted out soon.

Loved how you phrased that. Aesthetics are important, but as our parents told us "its what inside that counts."

Is this the Imperial Otis? I hope that makes it to Chicago. I just moved here from Brooklyn.

My favorite is resin followed by Hi-res, Bengali and Sweet action.

Do you think it is a deterrent for you in a 16oz can? Why do you find 12oz to be a better format?

Interesting that you note that you are willing a premium for a larger can. Some folks see the larger can as diminishing the value of the beer. Most delis in NYC reserve tall cans only for macro-lager pounders.

what if we found a way to retain the aesthetic value but deliver more value at the same time?

I wouldn't say deterrent, but with the 12 ounce formats it gives you more flexibility in how much you want to drink. Lots of times you may want 2 beers, but 2 16 ouncers may be too much. For me it's about flexibility, the smaller cans give you more options. Make any sense?

See, the problem here is Sixpoint Shane seems to have convinced a lot of you that 4-packs and 6-packs share the same pricing structure, when they don't. Four-packs of 16oz Bengali cans @ $9.99 works fine. So would 6-packs of Resin (12oz) around 10.99/11.99ish ..if they were sold that way.

Fifteen?! ..haha, give me a break dude.

Not saying that. I feel the tall cans make the product feel more premium. Lets use 12oz cans as an example. The short 12oz is the same as a soda can, which is generally associated with being cheap. It is also the same can used by many cheap brands of beer. The only thing else I know of tin the tall 12oz cans is energy drinks, which generally command some premium. This makes the tall 12oz feel more premium than the short 12oz. However, regardless of the premium feel, if you gave me the choice of Resin in short 12oz cans with no artwork and Resin in tall 12oz cans with nice artwork, and charged more for the tall cans, I'd buy the short ones. Why? Its what's in the can that counts most. I like nice artwork, I like tall cans, I like a lot of things, all of these may influence me when having to make a choice in a store when I don't know what the contents taste like. Once I know what it tastes like, that is the only information I need when looking at price.

Also love the Hi Res, however Pilsner usually takes a back seat in these forums so I want to mention I also appreciate The Crisp.

Resin. It's one of the beers I like to have in my fridge at almost all times.

apparently we don't get complete distro in Illinois but I have tried Apollo, bengali, resin and hi-res. they really put the pedal to the metal wit hi-res, outstanding beer so I will have to go with that as my fave right now. looking forward to trying 3 beans and some others as they are released here.
