Latest Pipeworks Releases and Updates (2018)

Out of curiosity - How many pounds of the more popular, but non proprietary hops would you use if you had access to them? Not sure if it's easier to estimate monthly or yearly use...I'd find either useful

Going to be in Schaumburg Saturday and Downtown Chicago on Sunday. Anyone know which would be the better of the 2 and which I might have the most success at for a variety Pipeworks bottles?

 

don't know about the suburban binny's but the binny's on grand always seems to have a reliable supply of PW offerings, doesn't get pillaged nearly as much as castle vav.

 

The Binny's in Schaumburg has been... not so great IMHO. Buffalo Grove and Algonquin locations are a bit better. If you can drive up to the outskirts of Chicago, Capone's Liquors, West Lakeview, and Beer Temple are all within about a mile of each other. That would be your best places I believe, and they usually get the releases first.

I'll 2nd this. Schaumburg Binny's has been a bit of a disappointment lately. I've had better PW's luck at the Binny's in Des Plaines. Might be worth stopping in there on your way to the city.

Highland Park Binny's had a wide PW selection this afternoon, including BA Jones.

 

Must find coffee break abduction. Binny's in orland park runs out of every pipeworks beer in a day. It's frustrating.

 

So how is it going to work? The tap room/growler/swag shop is going to be near the North and Western spot, or is that plan going to the new spot? Or are you guys still working on all the details of it? I'm assuming the tap room is still going to be by North and Western.

 

you're onto the right idea. We aren't vacating N&W just yet... and hopefully don't have to... we have plans for that location but it makes sense for us to put our efforts towards the production facility first. Now that we have the lease sured up, we can focus on financing efforts for something we think will be really awesome near our current location... something interactive and tasty.

 

Beer Temple posted the recent PW tasting with Gerrit and BeeJay. It's a good watch if you've got some spare time (2 hours worth of beer ****).
