How much do you drink a day?

You guys are tempting me heavily to plot my drinking on a graph then calculate the best fit curve just so I can win the contest.

Usually around 2, sometimes more. Really whether I drink a lot in a night depends what fitness training I have planned. If I'm doing a late night run I'll hold off until my metabolism has died down, but if I am doing nothing in a night I'll start drinking the moment I sit down and watch TV. If I'm out with my friends, usually 2.

 

Generally none during the week, unless I know I have off the following day. If I drink any on work nights, it's just one after dinner, but that's still pretty rare.

On the weekend, it varies per day, but generally somewhere between 6 - 12 spread over the course of Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday afternoon.

I got all of my "drinking for sport" phase out of the way when I was *cough* younger *cough* If I'm drinking an old favorite, I'll achieve face-tingly euphoria and call it quits. I'm doofy enough as it is when I'm sober.

 

My cellar is so irresponsibly big, at least one (typically a bomber) a night is a necessity.

 

Weekdays - Nothing, unless my class drives me insane (I'm a teacher) then I'll enjoy one. If it has been a real bad day then I will enjoy a bomber - that way I can tell my wife I've only had one beer.

Weekends - On the average about 2 a day.

 

Usually between 1-4 weekdays and 3-10+ on "weekends" i work two full time jobs 6 days a week, and i work one of them on the other day as well. which makes that night, my weekend. so, i enjoy the fruits of my beer hunting labors whenever i have time. it's my hobby. The wife approves, she likes that i'm the good beer guy around here, haha. Plus, i'm in better health than i've ever been. Win/win/win. People overthink these things far too much sometimes.

I have to add, being from the upper midwest seems to skew the numbers, an easygoing night in these parts is less than 6 lol.

M-Th: 1-3
F-Sat: 2-15 (ranging from work night to game day, usually in the middle).
Sun: 2-4

I occasionally take a few days off to make myself feel better about drinking so much.

 

From a health standpoint, does having 1 5-6% beer and lunch, dinner and nightcap (3 beers a day but spaced out 3-4 hrs. apart from each) really count to the Dr. as having 3 beers a day? Just wondering if it harms the liver equal or not as much that way. Just saying I drink for taste and not the intoxication effects. Not sure if that helps from a health standpoint.

 

Bombers or 12 oz bottles?! A bomber is just about right, as are 2 12 oz bottles.

 

I've overdone it tonight. 4 beers. Sn pale ale, southern tier live, founders all day IPA and Ithaca flower power IPA. I'm still thirsty.

Good thing tomorrow is a ' home office' day

 

During the week, I try to keep it to 1 beer per night. If I have a really terrible day, like yesterday, then it can be anywhere from 1-3 beers. The weekend is a different story. I love sampling new beer so a Saturday or Sunday can be anywhere from 1-10 beers. I am a coffee fiend though, so I refrain from "breakfast beer". However, it must be said, I have watched the Price is Right at the bar before. Fortunately, or maybe unfortunately, I'm much older now and those days (as well as my ability to recover) are long gone.

 

I make it a point not to drink during the week. Weekends are typically a few on Saturday, and a couple on Sunday. Numbers tend to go up in the summer months, though. Decks with grills attract more people when it's warmer out. And enjoying well-crafted beer with friends is way better than drinking solo for me.

When I haven't been sick for 8 days and just got Bronchitis (can you tell I need a beer?).....

1-2 on the weeknights MAX and Friday night/Saturday is pretty much whatever. Depending on what Sunday has in store 1-3. I need to get back to the gym once I'm better. Easy to wanna work out when there's a tasty brew at home after!

Weekdays tend to be 2-4/night, weekends perhaps a bit more. I'm a daily drinker, and I'm OK with it.

 

A lot more than I should be. I start school May 5th so I might as well enjoy my life to the fullest while I can.
