Go to Beer Cellar in Glen Ellyn. They are always stocked and have a bunch of Coffee Break as of this morning.

also, I don't know if the news got posted but our Meheen bottler is officially in production and we should have it within the next two months... this will hopefully put an end to the inconsistent bottle issues since we started like carbonation. thank you for getting us to the point that we could afford a Meheen... now we can make better beer.

I stand by my statement. I've never had an poorly carbonated beer from PWs.

    Come at me bro!

Anyways, consistency is a good thing. Congrats

Actually glad I spent time watching some of this. Really seem like good people. Idk if you call it ignorance on my part or what but seeing where you're at now, it's hard to imagine the struggle. Congrats on the success.

I've had all of the beers formerly known as the Ninja series. My fav has been the Amarillo. I know a ton of people drool over the Citra, but I was really impressed with the balance in the Amarillo. I find some DIPAs move too bitter for me and I lose some of the flavor of the hop. The Amarillo was impressively flavorful.

You said earlier in the thread that you used Briess in the malt bill but had to switch to MO when Briess was tight. In general, how steady do you keep the malt portion across the different "Ninja" formulas (same malts but different %, different malts, etc)? Sorry for the continued reference to the Ninja moniker...you guys probably want to lose the reference to that now....

They said they have a batch in process and we'd get a much wider release later this year.

How's the PW selection at Binny's in River Grove? I have a buddy from Wisconsin I am meeting up with this weekend and he said he would stop at a Binny's for me if I could find one not far off 94.

Mostly the same... Cascade, Centennial, Citra are all the same, Amarillo is the same with a tad bit of wheat (which will probably be what we do with future batches of Cascade, Centennial, Citra)

Simcoe is a bit different and we changed it up even more for Deutsch Hopfen and another one (trying to think...)

No idea but the Niles and Highland Park locations are close to 94 and their selection is usually pretty good.

For a different take: I thought the Amarillo was good but it had a bit too much of the onion/B.O thing going on for me to buy multiples. Amarillo hops can go either way on my palette though (don't love 'em in Gumballhead but I like 'em in Red's Rye).

I love the Citra. I thought the Australian Summer was super good too.

I'll second these 2 notions and even throw in Skokie's location. He can definitely steer clear of River Grove though.

Man going to other binny's other than orland park really opens your eyes. It makes you realize how bad that location is.

    March 7, 2014 Update

Release of all this awesome begins on 3/10

    NEW! Gerrit's Weirdo Smoked Stout
An open slot on the brew schedule means that there is space to get creative and make something weird. Gerrit, because he has a strong, deep, passionate love for chocolate covered pretzels, decided to make a beer that was chocolatey, rich, and subtly salty, just like the object of his affection. He concocted up a recipe that included smoked malt, lots of chocolate malt, and even pretzels in the mash. It was one seriously good smelling day in the brewhouse. "Weirdo" is definitely this beer's middle name. $9.99, 22 oz, 9.5% ABV

    NEW! The Continental
"Oh. I see you let yourself in. You look much more ravishing in person. Fantastic. Can I offer you a glass of this Scotch Ale? It's brewed with walnuts. The dry, yet carmel-noted, yet roasty malt bill compliments the clean Scottish Ale yeast. Speaking of compliments, have I mentioned that you look ravishing? I have? Good. Have I mentioned that the walnuts lend a decadent nutty character? I have? Shoot. Well, those are my talking points. How was your day? Good? Good. You look ravishing. Have I mentioned that I look ravishing as well? Don't laugh." - The Pipeworks Continental
    $9.99, 22 oz, 9% ABV

One Horned Wonder and His Fanciful Flying Fresno
The Wonder has made a loop de loop back through our brewery! This batch of the IPA brewed with passionfruit and rotary evaporated fresno chilies (all of the aroma and flavor with none of the heat (it's a real trip)) originally brewed in collaboration with The Aviary is tasting very fresh, clean, and balanced. It's a great brew that we love making and we hope you all like drinking. This batch has tons of Citra and Amarillo hops, so hop to it to get it at its best!
    $10.99, 22oz, 9% ABV

    Pipeworks Amarillo
We could not get over how much we enjoyed the last batch of Pipeworks Amarillo, so we brewed up some more! We loaded this batch up with Amarillo and a little Citra, but Amarillo is the real star of the show. The floral and citrusy aromas are extremely bright and fresh. It's an immediate P Dubs staff favorite.
    $9.99, 22oz, 8.5% ABV

All beers will be released on 3/10.

    On the Brewing Horizon:

NEW! Budapest Gambit - Wit with Hibiscus and Ginger
Pipeworks Ninja vs Unicorn - Hoppy Double IPA
Coffee Break Abduction - Imperial Stout with Coffee and Vanilla
