On draft at a bar in ABQ for $5 a pour! Session IPA of Wall Street?

I'm honestly having my second 6er of stone go to ipa and honestly.....this very well might be the best beer over all I've had. It's nearly perfect. An ABV that's reasonable. Amazing flavor. Drinkable to a fault. Priced reasonably.....I might be more willing to spend money than some on beer.

I truly tip my hat to stone on this one. I have never had a "go to" beer in my life. This might be the first one and I'll be honest Stone owes me 40 bucks for those pepper beers I bought thinking they were going to not be the most awful things ever made. Oh and a 2-3 page paper on why they should never mislead people again to thinking they're getting beer when they're getting pepper flavored vomit.

I keep passing a 6'er of it at my local Whole Foods. Next time I'm there I'll grab a one; they're promoting it for $10.99 with STACKS of them around the store.

Founders All Day? If that's a fair comparison...

I might have to put mine in the freezer to hurry the process up.

I found the founders to be a bitter "watery?"

The Stone doesn't have much more body or malt, but it has just this vibrant amazing hop flavor that's just well I clearly love it. I honestly think Levitation is while a different style the closest to this one in that it takes on a style, hops it up, and does it with a lighter feel and lower abv than others.

The price for a "session" isn't great, but if you want a beer you can drink for a period of time without too much of a buzz. This is it!

I just drank one an hour ago.. it's good but I'd personally prefer Founders All Day and Lagunitas DayTime..

Interested to try, haven't seen it yet. My favorite "IPA Light" thus far is hands down Daytime. But glad to see a widening range of sessionable hoppy offerings.

$10.99 a six seems way high to me for a session beer? Sure you are paying for flavor verses the session BMC of the worlds but I'd like to see "session pricing" to go along with all these beers I'm suppose to drink all day, every day.

I will never pay over $10 for a session beer. I went to a store today and "go to" was $11.99 without tax for a 6. Why the hell would I ever pay that price for a session IPA when I can get a real IPA for the same price?

... Go To IPA has a great body and mouthfeel to it though.. I only grabbed a single, so I didn't end up pounding multiple..

Haven't seen it on the shelves here yet, same with SN 4 way IPA pack....Idaho gets everything last.

I've seen multiple posts about this beer and I'm certainly interested, but 10.99 for a six pack is a little steep considering Stone IPA is 9.99 and double the abv...

It's pretty good. Next to "Gold Claw" from Blue Lobster it's my favorite hoppy beer under 5%. I'm assuming its destined for canning at some point? The price isn't great considering you can get "Sucks" for the same money and it's a bit better. If you want to crush some really tasty beers and still drive home, it's one of the best hoppy choices for sure. All day IPA tastes like water in comparison, great job packing in the hops with very little malt profile.

This beer matches a Citra Session homebrew that I made to a tee. Seriously, it's uncanny, this is my Citra session. It's unreal.

I'm looking forward to trying it. I was initially suspicious of the "session IPA" trend, but All-Day and Daytime are both legitimately tasty beers, and considering that this is from Stone and people are saying that it's the hoppiest of the major session IPAs I am excited to try it. Just waiting for it to show up the shelves in my area. Luckily the new four-way Sierra Nevada 12-packs just showed up to feed my hop addiction.

I know that bashing stone on BA is like yelling voldemort in Hogwarts but stone IPA just didn't impress me that much. The bitterness was overpowering rather then complimentary, and the beer generally lacked balance of flavor. I mean its a very solid beer but id take victory hop devil or sierra nevada torpedoe over the stone IPA any day, but hey that's just me

I just picked up a bottle tonight. Like most "session IPAs" it's thin and sharp. The aroma here is outstanding tho I'm not a fan of that endless bitterness. But that's Stone's job.

Someone slipped some mosaic in your Citra session.

SN pale ale, the original session "IPA" before 40 IBUs became "pale ale."
