I know of stores that got several cases of BWB that typically only get 1 case of KBS. I also have seen BWB in stores that don't get any KBS so I can't imagine the release numbers being the same.

They definitely don't have the same hype. My local bar had a Founder's tap takeover with BWB on tap for almost 2 weeks while a tapping of KBS at the Cloverleaf in the fall Tap Takeover lasted just under 2 hours.

They might be on the same release level per Founders website but they sell a ton more KBS instantly during KBS week than they do BB right out of the grate I'd assume.

They're not even close to the same, there about 400 cases of BWB and many stores got multiple cases, tons of stores receiving one (lower end Founders accounts). KBS, if you're lucky enough to recieve it, you'll get one. Probably around 80 cases give or take 10.

Whole Foods - Columbus Circle had 2 cases delivered.
    1 Bottle limit
    $5.99.
I was able to snag one around 12:30PM Happy Hunting.

Whole Foods Bowrey and New Beer were sold out.

Thanks! Hoping I can grab a bottle on my way home from work. I was able to get one bottle yesterday in BK but was hoping to score one more to cellar.

80 cases in the region you mean? Sounds low.

If you think 80 cases total you are smoking crack. Founders has a huge distribution footprint. I'm guaranteeing the Philly area got more than that on its own.

good thing this thread got bumped. I was beginning to wonder why there weren't any KBS threads on the 1st page of this forum

I was told that NY got 250 cases total. My guy didnt get any. He was told at last nights Station House tapping event that the distribution went based on prior Founders sales and stores with higher sales got the KBS. Taking this with a mountain of salt though.

the weird thing is that there are usually a ton of NYC specific posts (maybe as much or more than Philly), but whenever there's a highly sought after release, pretty much every city/state/region aside from NYC gets a thread. People in NYC are too competitive to even post where they picked up a beer, even after they already got theirs?

I think people in NY know the popular places to go for limited releases (i.e. Whole Foods, Torst , Good Beer/ New Beer etc). more local/ "hidden" gems tend to be held back it seems. I see a lot of "The store i went to" from NYers up here. It is what it is.

Wow, haven't seen a single place sell more than 2 bottles pp in NYC/BK. Any chance you'd share this info with us?

Haha - I'm sorry dude. Was just a bad joke in reference to the two posts above mine. I thought the "2 x 4-packs" would be ludicrous enough that people wouldn't think I was serious. To be honest I don't have a KBS and will be making zero effort to pick one up. If I get one, cool - otherwise will just be drinking it at one of the various bar tappings.

Kinda confused by the tone of your comment... that's how they all do it.... That's why you see big(ger) box stores taking mountainous stacks of 312, Oberon, etc and why 2hearted gets cases and cases of hopslam sent to grocery stores.
