In my defense for some reason I was using a duvel tulip for water (lack of clean glasses, college roomate problems) so I must have subconsciously activated my beer drinking form.

 

Hahahaha, this is insanely, utterly true for me.

 

You go to an event with free beer but don't drink any because it's the wrong beers.

 

when you become a beer specialist for whole foods market.

 

You're wife drags you into Bath & Body Works. She doesn't get anything, but you buy 2 get 1 free of oak scented body wash in hopes that you'll smell like your favorite barrel aged barleywine.

You can predict with confidence that when you hand a stout to a noob to try, they will ask if its "like guiness" and make a comment about guiness being "so heavy"

 

you bring a tasting glass to an in-store tasting event. (it was really the most appropriate time to bust out that mini FW snifter...it was a FW event afterall)...

 

When you have to explain to the same friend over and over again why you have a shelf with "old" beer.

 

Your dog is named after your favorite fictional bartender (Sam from the TV program Cheers) and after your favorite/most helpful person at your favorite bottle shop.

 

You have to explain to your wife/significant other why you both have to get up early to go to release for beer when its hours earlier than normal, and she understands.

 

You read all 7 pages of this post and then get pissed off that there isn't more.
