Dogfish Head 60 minute and Lagunitas Sucks. Both are fantastic and I don't have them nearly enough. By that I mean I've had each of them twice.

I had a SN Pale Ale at a party a while back had to of been 7 years ago, i nursed the hell out of it. thought it was disgusting. Had a Two Hearted around the same time and same thing. Then one of my ex girlfriends took me to Kuhnhenn a couple years later and I got a DRIPA and my eyes were opened. Never looked back.

I guess 60 minute? That and SNPA were the first hoppy beers I'd ever had but I didn't perceive them as hoppy or even necessarily bitter because it was all just beer for me back then. I was just glad it had some flavor as opposed to all the BMC products I had been exposed to prior to that. The first time I ever said to myself "Well, I guess I like IPAs" was when I first had a Harpoon IPA.

When I was 17-18 my friend and I split a 6 pack of Torpedo. Not knowing what it was, we pushed through it. It was tasty, but tough to swallow at the time. Days later we were craving bitter, hoppy beers.

Interesting thread. Tbh all IPA's are bad if they are old. I think alot of ppl get turned off by bad IPA's generally because they are old.

Even now I am on a constant search for fresh IPA's. Fresher the better. If its a month old I might buy it, but then end up kicking myself for doing so. I need two weeks or fresher to be happy. Its a never ending search. *sigh*

Oh, and my answer to the thread is PtE.

The IPA in your profile pic did it for me. Hated em until I got good and buzzed one night and that was all that was left in my brother's fridge. Cracked it and have been in love ever since.

Sierra's harvest beers. Southern was the first beer that I was like, oh wait, hops ARE good. Door was then cracked. Few months later the train that was Northern Hemisphere proceeded to run through the door, smashing it to bits and picking me up along the way. Havent jumped off the hops train since.

I tried all the Lagunitas IPA's and couldn't handle the flavor. Then I tried DFH 90 and was hooked.

Stone Enjoy By, cant remember which release, but it was about a year ago. I still dont like most IPAs, but I enjoy man DIPAs likely for their generally sweeter/less bitter hop taste.
