I know this is an odd question, but CW BBBW isn't infected right? I mean, it wasn't last year just want to make sure.

CW BBBW is fine. The only infected beers to come from Central Waters have been some batches of the '12 and '13 (and now apparently '14) Peruvian Morning.

If you haven't tried it, I'd suggest a blind side-by-side with CW BBBW and BCBBW. We did so recently, and somewhat to my surprise, it was unanimous in favor of CW BBBW.

(In the past I've personally preferred Sucaba over either, but I haven't put it up against the '14 CW BBBW yet.)

But I love the fact that I can drink CW BW straight from the bottle thanks to lowbit.

I've had the first two of a four-pack that was acquired on Saturday and they've both been good. What a pity that this one keeps getting screwed up; it's a gem of a beer.

Whoa, the one I just opened has a tartness to it. Not going to lie...I really like it, even more with the vanilla I added.

Drinking a "good" one with a touch of vanilla added and it's fantastic, thanks for mentioning that!

Probably almost none of it. Theres a whole world of difference in the taste between what it should be (a ba coffee stout that is normally fucking delicious) and what its already tasting like in most bottles. Why is anyone wasting time trying to defend what is already admittedly infected? Its infected on the nose, in the taste. It's been pulled off shelves and probably never to be made again under that name. Theres 0 question but it feels like you're still trying to defend it as just people overreacting.

You are one of the few that won't face the facts. What is your job title for Central Waters?

Drinking a 2014 PM right now. Excellent, without even the slightest hint of infection.

I am now very much regretting not having run around to stock up before they pulled this year's batch. Even if some were off, it'd be worth it for the good ones.

And how many bottles have you drank this year? I've had seven to date and have posted my experience with a few of them. Others, like yourself have not had any, but seem to know that they are indeed infected. CW knows that some do not taste right and made the smart decision to pull all from the shelves. Sad times for PM, but like myself I'm glad that a few are still enjoying this years batch.

Its this way each year they release it and it drinks great and as it ages more and more will come up infected. I bought a case last year and I didn't get a bad one until November. Some from this years release are bad already and some are great, drink em up and don't give them a chance to go bad. But to have your head in the sand like this is just peoples imagination and not really happening when the Brewery has pulled them is not reality.

i get paid more money than you will ever see in a lifetime to do this

far from defending it or saying it's not happening.. i asked valid questions. "how much of this is people jumping to be first, to be loudest in their condemnation? (the ESPNification of beer)", "how much of this is a palate thing.. some people perceived a vegetal rot in Gubna, others said it was their favorite beer", etc.

your comprehension ability seems to be at issue here. which is probably why CW isn't backing up the Brinks truck to your house every Friday like they do mine.

    "each year"?

i've got some 2011, drank one last weekend and it was great. all of them were great in fact. seems this infection issue cropped up in some batches in 2012, more in 2013 and this year they nipped it in the rear at the first reports.

but that must mean that ALL CW BEER EVERYWHERE IS INFECTED FOREVER!!!1111ONEone!!@##!~!!
