What beer are you drinking now? #503

Superb!

 

Never had a beer from those guys under a A-. I'm more of a Dopplebock man myself, but I wish I could get any here. We do get Augusteiner, but it is horribly pricey & looks a bit old ever time I see it in a store.

 

In my case, Tuesday.

 

The smoked version they did with the 2013 is amazing.. though I've found that most anything smoked seems to more or less equal crack for me.. Heh. Wish I could find more. Only had one, not realizing it was special. Went back and got 'it' again and was way disappointed.. Only realized after browsing my pic library that I'd had something special completely on accident the first go round.

 

Beers with friends- Yeti is 2010.

 

All this Ten Fidy talk and I have to make it a nite cap....

 

I really don't have a clue. I have 1 bottle left and I'll prob open it in 6 months or so. I personally wouldn't wait much longer than that. It is an IPA after all!

 

I was going to do the same. I figured by Summer, this would be a classic!

The demon in me wants to eat the whole box of girl scout cookies (Tagalongs). Damn you miniature women......stop making such delicious cookies!!!

 

Always strayed from the dusty bottles, but I sprung on a fresh can. Pretty solid DIPA, nothing amazing, but nice on a Friday night while watching Orange is the New Black on Netflix. Note Tasting Beer by Randy Mosher photobombing on the floor....:

Just walked in after a 14 hr day, and an Ommegang Three Philosophers is looking good! Probably nothing on deck because I'm on call for the next 10 days. Lightman

 

Yeah- Andechs is very solid across the board, but even I took my time getting to trying this one mostly due to not hearing much about it. At this point I can't think of a better dunkelweizen that I've had. Thank goodness I bought more than one.

I do get good quality Augustiner beers by me- probably due to a number of factors. #1- this is where they come off of the boats, so no shipping/warehouse induced issues. #2- I buy it in stores where the stock moves, so there is no compounding of the age of the beer. Hopefully you get to enjoy it in reasonably good shape- they are a real quality brewer.
