Bells did 22oz. Bombers a long time ago, but stopped. They have special releases in 750s now.

Are 500 mL not large format bottles?

That is just under 17 ounces, so I would say they are not large format, as they are a decent amount smaller than your 22oz bomber.

And yet they cost more than some bombers from Stone, Lagunitas, or Bear Republic...

Of my local breweries, I don't think Lost Coast or 21st Amendment do bombers. Russian River doesn't either, as far as I know, if you don't count 510ml as large format.

I've seen mango magnifico on the shelf in Oberlin. Also GLBC used to bottle BA blackout in bombers.

Sixpoint mostly does the cans, but have definitely had a couple of bottled releases.

Bought a Grand Crue bomber in Brewster, NY a couple of years ago

Crux Fermentation Project, 375ml but at $17 to $20 for that size I'll pass no matter how good it is. Now Deschutes Mirror Mirror for $17 a 22oz I took 6, they only had 29 cases at the PDX brewery.

Actually a 750 ml bottle that is the profile of a 22 oz bomber. I had to go look at the smoked Porter bottle.

Is there a point to this thread?
Are brewers that only use 12 oz bottles to be lauded as a superior brewer?

I guess it didn't really pan out. I was just trying to see how many actually opt out of larger format bottles, but still release really sought after limited beers in small formats. I wanted to know because people always complain about bombers/750s with pricing and how they want everything to stay in four packs or six packs. But very few if any actually only release everything in small formats. I just wanted to start a thread that hasn't been posted before a bunch of times.

For Michigan you have Short's, Oddside, and Kuhnhenn that only use 12 ounce bottles. Although not sure what Kuhnhenn will be doing soon b/c they are opening a new bottling facility and taproom which will allow them to produce beer on a much larger scale.
