N00B BIF: Targets Available!

Can we migrate the hints and hauls over to this thread as its easier to track and follow up??

 

So just to confirm, this one is closed? I still see a few targets on the list but I don't want to sign up if it's shutting down. Being a newbie I'd be interested in something like this if another one pops up...

 

Im assuming this isnt closed since a few of us have sent out boxes and not gotten anything yet.

 

I don't get how it can close since you have to ship a box to get one and any people who are at the end would be left hanging. I also don't get how the initial targets in the BIF received a box but did not ship a box later in the box. I am super happy with what I received last month so I am not complaining just some weird quirks I noticed.

 

I think the initial targets were handpicked non noobs. I would also guess that the initial round people would close this out if it lost steam and were to end. Just speculating but I would guess that since this has been done before this has come up and has been accounted for.

 

Thats what I figured and it seemed like it was wrapping up since the site went down and the other issues with wants lists etc. but now im not sure.

 

The initial targets (like myself) are periodically being asked to send a box as sign-ups lag. Everybody will certainly get a box by the official close of the BIF, so nobody panic!

I don't know if Cam is officially ending this soon or just frustrated with the site being down and forum switchup. Either way, it's a bit of a pain at the moment with the hoops people need to jump through to check out wants and such, so I'd say everybody just be patient.

 

Is this going to happen?

 

Why not just end it now and start over when the site is more stable and easier for everyone to navigate?
