Can someone clue me in on the difference between these 2 bottlings? What type of bourbon barrels were used for this year's batch of 2012 Bourbon BA Dak Lord? Also, if someone has had both, what, if any, are differences? Which do you prefer?

EDIT: Also, I've noticed that with the 2012 bottling, some bottles are #ed out of 400 or so, and some are #ed out of 600 or so. Were there 2 bottlings of this?

I believe there was a miscount on the bottles so some have the inaccurate smaller number

There were two batches of the BA Dark Lord this year. I think 3 Floyds tweeted this or facebooked it or some such thing. Thus, two different counts.

I assumed that at first, but I've seen sub 420 numbers on the 680 bottle count. Either they decided to bottle more than originally anticipated, or there is a difference between the two.

there were two different bottlings. FFF tweeted it. That does not mean there is a difference.

2012 is a blend of bourbon barrels, according to FFF. Havent had it yet so I can't comment on the taste.
