ill be there in july, is surly stuff availible there or does anyone have some to trade while im there?
Where in Milwaukee are you going to be? Dependent on where you will be you can drive south into Illinois, namely Antioch Fine Wines, they carry Surly, they are about 10 minutes south of the IL/WI border, but they are west a ways. I was just there over the weekend, they had Furious, Hell, Smoke, and Coffee Bender available. If it turns out it is too far away to drive, dependent on when you come I could pick some up between now and then and trade with you.
ill be there for the color run, wherever that is gonna be, im assuming its in downtown mil. @DonDonson thanks i will be there July 4,5,6th, for sure 100% its booked already,we are taking the train from here in detroit to chicago, then to mil, i dont know if we are just switching in chi or staying but ill let you know in advance if ill be able to get it myself or need your assistance. thanks for your help.
Yeah, I'm hoping Surly will get back to Wisconsin soon with the expansion they have going. I wasn't a WI resident at the time but from what I've read, Surly was available here for a while, but they pulled out to satisfy the demand in MN. They make great beer and I hope to be able to purchase it locally in the near future.
Rumor is they signed with Beechwood Sales and Service. There is supposed to be a sixtel of Darkness at Crafts and Drafts on 4/27. I believe Discount tweeted about it.
doesn't Discount have some of their beer on the shelf? i know they had some bootlegged cans up front last time i was there
swear there was a thread here about it a while back. i saw the cans, took a pic and texted it to my buddy who knows Todd and Omar. found it: thread is gone now but i posted the link on another forum " http://beeradvocate.com/forum/read/2478412 crossovert | Wisconsin | BA: Mar 29, 2009 | online user online I saw Surly there today, they had 4 kinds, up front crossovert | Wisconsin | BA: Mar 29, 2009 | online user online @ beertooth: I would suspect only discount, it looked hand delivered, very limited quantities" =========== here's my post a few days later (1/2/2010) on the other fourm "popped in today they were right there up front. $6 per can Coffee Bender and Cynicale. at least a couple cans of each. looked like someone poured syrup and dirt on at least one and then set the top on fire"
Originally from MKE, I hope you guys are next on the list for distribution. Btw, $6/can is absolute crazy talk...you're not even talking Abrasive or Blakkr.
