Hey guys I've been looking for a hunahpu bottle, and a guy wants my Brooklyn black ops, my bruery Beauregarde , and duclaw retribution . Is it worth all three bottles? I'm just not sure if a 20$ bottle is worth my 50/60 $ worth of bottles. I've been looking for a bottle for 2 years and can't ever get one, I need some advice. Thanks and cheers!

Considering the cost for you was significantly higher, I would say no. But you also have to consider how badly you want the beer. Is the beer itself worth giving up those three beers? If you think it is, go for it. All that matters is that you are happy with the deal.

At the end of the day, hunahpu is just a beer. There is no magical ingredient or technique that goes into making it. It probably is very good, but its doubtful that it would be worth trading three also very good beers for one hunahpu. Think about how scarcity plays into all of this, that scarcity is ultimately what you'd be paying such a high price for. The thing about scarcity is, you can't see it, smell it, or taste it. Do you think you will really enjoy that beer that much more because of this intangible quality that it has?

Post back after the carnage. There are people who posted on Cigar's facebook with having 10 or more bottles. Right now, they think that they are sitting on a gold mine. In a month after X, Y, and Z are all released, the interest in Hunah will go back to being what it normally is and people with 10 bottles will realize that they didn't find a missing Van Gogh. What you are dealing with is everything that is wrong with this shit. Sit back, drink something else, and post something in a month or so.

Not worth it, IMHO. There are plenty of comparable beers which don't require such an outlay. (And you could undoubtedly find someone more reasonable with a little patience.)

Wait until Westbrook releases Mexican cake in may. I think this beer will be easier attainable since huna release was a giant clusterfuck of a release yesterday. With the bottles being hard to get people will hold them ransom. Just my .02. Good
    Luck op

I've had both and I think Huna is a bit better, but Mexi Cake is MUCH more reasonable. Hope it stays that way.

There are still awesome people out there. I'm going $4$ heady for huna. Keep looking. There may be someone reasonable willing to hook you up.

FWIW, I set up 4 pre-Hunahpu Day trades thinking I'd come home with more than 6 bottles. Luckily I did get the 6 I was supposed to!

I'm not changing the value of them, and I'm trading them for the following:

    1:1 for '14 Darkness
    1:1 for Vietnamese Coffee Speedway
As part of a larger trade for 3 Bruery beers (Grey Monday, Wanderer, Bois Rye Whiskey)
As part of a larger trade for PseudoSue, BLAKKR, BA Plead the 5th & Black Note.

Every one of the trades stuck pretty closely to $4$, though obviously all very high quality beer was involved. I wouldn't dream of asking for $60 worth of beer in return and you should laugh at his demands.

The key for most beer trades is timing. The worst time to go after a beer is right after its released because you have tons of competing offers. For example, people who have Hunaphu can just pick and choose the best offers. After a few months, the next big release comes out (KBS, Dark Lord, etc...) and the ISOs will start to target those beers.

At the point, the value of Hunaphu will drop. Last year I waited until May and got a bottle for two FV 13 that I found at my local store. I ended up with 3 bottles last year in various trades, never offering more than $20-$25 worth of beer.

People aren't going to give Hunaphu away, but if you wait a month or two you can probably get it for around $20 worth or beer, not the $60 you are debating.

Just get yourself some Marshal Zhukov. That one is a better "stout" in my opinion. The adjuncts in Hunahpu's make for a fun and interesting drinking experience but Marshal Zhukov is just a better stout in my opinion.

i may agree from years prior, but this years is incredible. wayne said he thought it was the best base huna he has made, and aftedr having a few small pours Saturday, i have to agree with him.

**if you think zhukov is good, final push may have been the best beer i had Saturday.

Final Push was amazing. Best coffee beer ever, hands down. I even got in line for KBS afterwards so I could have a comparison. Final Push killed it.

Perrenial Sump and DB Hunapoopoo are my favorite non-BA and BA Coffee stouts. Sump is ridiculous. Id like to try Final Push but we couldn't be in 5 limited pour lines as once unfortunately
