From the Maine Beer Facebook feed:

"Limited amount of Dinner is available in the Tasting Room. Reminder this is a brewery only - one time only - limited batch. Sorry you won't find it outside of our Freeport Tasting Room as it is not being sent to distribution.

Thanks for drinking, and for understanding!"

lol I still can't believe people have their panties in a twist over their prices. $8 for 500ml of their new (supposedly mindblowing) double IPA, $6 for 500ml of Lunch. Russian River prices Blind Pig and Pliny in the same arena. Pricing matches the quality.

Went there yesterday at around 4:45pm to find that there really weren't many people and there was plenty of of dinner to be had. Drank the beer last night and I was impressed to say the least, this beer crushes a lot of good beers in my opinion and is worthy of a lot more hype than it's getting. It seems like the price scares people but I'm glad to pay $6-8 for essentially any IPA they make just because of the confidence I now have that it's going to be a great product. Seeing the 3/11/14 bottled on label was awesome yesterday when drinking it, not sure I've ever had a beer the day it was bottled.

Oh yeah? I didn't realize you could get a pint of Lunch for $4.75 at the brewery. Or a bottle of Dinner for $5.50.

Sorry, MBC is still 50% more expensive than RRBC.

No comment on MBC pricing, is what it is. But I can say without hesitation that Dinner is the best beer I've tasted from them, well done.

But $5.50 and $8.00 are in the same area! And I mean, you can get a 10 oz pour of Lunch for $5.00. That's the same thing as a pint, right??

Too bad the MBC treads always turn into a price debate. I will admit I have never been pumped on their prices, especially at stores where they sit, and definitely lose quality. They make great beer, though. But I will not be complaining at 8 bucks for a fresh dinner. Seems like some people get really angry about their prices. Just don't drink their delicious beer. I'd rather complain about a fair priced beer that tastes awful, then a fresh, super hoppy beer that's 2 bucks over it's preferred price range. I wish peeper, mo, an Zoe would move faster around here, I'd love to get that stuff fresh all the time.

This is not intended to be snarky at all: I don't see why people that have no problem paying MBC prices allow these threads to get sidetracked by pricing complaints. If you don't want to talk pricing, don't talk pricing!

I don't think you can have it both ways...

Good point. I'll just have to travel to the brewery to get the freshest stuff. Was my first time going yesterday. Nice little tasting room. Wish I had time yesterday to explore Portland and the rest of the great Maine breweries. Always get caught up with Vermont or jacks Abby and Maine always get pushed aside by me, and it's like a half hour closer. Go figure.

It's not my problem their beers are so egregiously overpriced - they did it themselves and should be open to the criticism.

RR is also in an expensive area. A more fair comparison for MBC would be The Alchemist.

whenever I see Lunch in Boston it's $8. at that price even when I see it I don't buy it.

Future ISO: MBC - Breakfast. I'd actually pick up a bottle of Dinner if they make it again for distribution. It sounds pretty good.

Yeah, totally worth the $8 a bottle. Couldn't do it every day, but definitely a treat.
