I had both these beers on two different occasions this year, and it appears that they have changed their ingredients list, most notably, the hops they are using, although, I am not sure. I detect more tropical fruits and pine, rather than the onion/garlic notes that turned me off last year. Has anyone detected these new flavors with the absence of the garlic/onion flavor? I must say that both are absolutely delicious, and are definitely in my top ten for 2014 as far as DIPA's are concerned.

There was a thread about this earlier; they most definitely changed up their ingredients. Many comments mentioned the onion flavor as well. Try searching, as the post included a press release from Oskar Blues.

Off the top of my head, Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is the only saison i can think of that features sorachi. seems like there are more PA/IPA's that use sorachi, especially for single hop series.

It's the price, not the taste, that discourages me from purchasing either of these products with any regularity. Same story with G'knight.
