I was under the impression some kind of special mead would be released (though not BBFT)... On second glance, looks like nothing is announced for release (yet) on St. Patty's proper.

This makes my loins happy. I just want to show up when they open & drink gallons of Lucky Charms Lager & Blueberry Pancake Ale, hopefully with a lighter crowd than typically accompanies a BBFT release.

See ya there! Hope they don't release anything in bottles.

The day before the bottle releases is what you're looking for! Last summer solstice I remember having Blueberry Eisbock and 4d and well I can't remember anything much after that but I did not even worry about buying bottles or a large line of large people taking up all the space.

Same, and for Winter Solstice as well. Had multiple pours of all the stuff I wanted and then some, and it wasn't terribly crowded, got a table both times.

On that summer solstice note, I wish they'd make Blueberry Play in the Hay again. Damn was that good.

Did someone tell anyone what to do with their beer?
I commented that it sounds douchey when you announce to everyone else about your sole intention being tradez.
You can do whatever the f you want with your beer. You can buy to trade or shove it up your ass... chances are I will judge you for it. I am a Kuhnhenn fan. I buy their stuff to drink and enjoy.

And I will be in line. With bells on.

I would love to see more days like St Patricks Day where they create some special / novelty beers or at least try to be creative.. For as many options as they have on that tap board year round, it's typically a giant yawn for me.

Agreed... I remember the TRIPA release tap-list being awesome, & rushing there after work. The pineapple & blueberry sours were great. Vintage Ale, Extraneous Ale, Dark Heathen all on tap, too. Why can't they do stuff like that more often? Hell, TRIPA was one of the least impressive parts of its own release day.

It's an every day struggle to brew their clear winners such as BB4D and BBBW.. We shouldnt be so hard on them.

Yeah it sucks so bad to go there and have to settle with DRIPA or Creme Brulee or or Fluffer or hmm should I keep going? Wow, amazed at how spoiled some of you are!

Not saying they aren't good beers, but variety is the spice of life.

I know much better than to reply to all the negativity in this thread, so we'll just move right beyond those comments, since it's just beer, right? Let's drink it and be happy.
To sum up the weekend, here is the copy I just posted to Craft Beer in Michigan...

"It'll be Shamrocks and Shenanigans all weekend long as we stretch St. Paddy's Day into a 4-day marathon of craft beer awesomeness. We've put up a huge tent in the parking lot in anticipation of our biggest St. Paddy's Party yet!

Friday night: Reggie Smith and the After Party (8pm in the tent) with a surprise beer tapping

Saturday at 11am: March Meadness Week 3 releases

Saturday night: The Orbitsuns (8pm in the tent) with a surprise beer tapping

Sunday at noon: Spring PREquinox Bottle Release: Michigan Mud and 2-year Barrel-aged Imperial Stout (limit 3 bottles each)

    Monday (St. Patrick's Day):

-Open at 7am for the Annual Breakfast of Champions, featuring 6+ breakfast cereal themed beers in the tent

-Complimentary breakfast buffet beginning at 9am

-Live Irish music from 9am-Noon by Another Jug O' Punch

-Comedy Showcase featuring our very own Paolo Busignani and others

-A REAL LIVE LEPRECHAUN (well actually he's a Gnome in real life, but he plays a good Leprechaun)

So come in this weekend for some great times; and remember...

THERE'S NOTHING IRISH ABOUT GREEN BEER.

    Sláinte!"

I will just add that the beer is bottled; so chances of us "forgetting to bottle it before the weekend" are slim to none. Cheers to great beer!

Hey @LiquidTable thanks for the info, any idea about how big the bottle counts are. Is there a point to going on Sunday if you can't make it until 2 or 3pm?

I'm driving a school bus filled with my mules across country as we speak. Just seeing if we have time to stop for meals and bathroom breaks or if I should power through.

We still have not determined the price, although there will be a limit of one 6pack per person, with a total count of approximately 200 6pks available.
I will post more information as soon as it is available.
Also, we will have limited edition Breakfast of Champions T-shirts and Commemorative Posters for sale this weekend.
