This sounds like a fun way to kill some soldiers and meet some BAers. I'm in Lombard and I'd like to throw my hat in the ring. Maybe I can clear some space before DLD (fingers crossed, fingers ALWAYS crossed).

Is two weeks too long to hold a sealed alpine growler? Got a growler of Keene Idea headed my way Monday and would like to bring it too

 

I kept a Russian River growler sealed and refrigerated for 3 weeks and it was great. Surprised the hell out of me because I expected it to be totally flat.

 

I had the same experience with a growler of psuedosue but I thought maybe i just got lucky. Looks like provided the growler survives the 1200 mile trip, we'll have some Keene idea

Half Acre is doing another release of Double Daisy Cutter tomorrow, 3/12 at noon. I'm not a DC fan but the DDC is delightful (thanks again @BeerGreg) - any of you guys interested in this? Trying to justify a drive in to the city....and a three hour lunch break and/or important business trip.

I would think DDC would last at least until Saturday if not the whole weekend.

 

Hopefully because I just looked at the weather forecast for tomorrow - I won't be driving into the city if we get the 4-8 inches they're predicting.

 

DDC is brewed every 3 months or so. Not exactly one to run out for. More like, grab one when it's convenient.

 

oh cool, thanks for that info! I live just north of Bigby's. You heading over for this? I'm interested in SheWolf and Blakkr (although I've got a 4 pk chilling for pick up in MN). Still disappointed I missed out on Anicca....
