Columbia, S.C. Bottle trade interest?

    Was curious to see how many BA's we have in or around that area. Would any of you be interested in participating in a bottle swap?

    I'm not from the area, but IMNSHO, bottle shares >> bottle swaps. I've met several great BAs that way and tried far more top beers than I ever would have on my own.

    I'm up for whatever. Just trying to meet and expand my list of beer buds. I'm all for expanding the craft beer culture in my community.

    It's a small world! I guess I know where I can find you.

    I've met a lot of local beer geeks in recent months. It's always nice to expand the share/trade circle.

    Tastings on Thursdays and Fridays at Green's Piney Grove are the best way to meet the beer geeks that don't always go out to bars. Wespatrick and I both work here and we know a lot of area BAs, and schedule BA tastings fairly regularly.

    I go to those when I can. I live in Columbia but work an hour out of town, so getting back home and then battling traffic to get over to Piney Grove is something I usually pass on. I'm always up for tastings with local BAs, though.

    If people were interested I'd be willing to host a tasting at my house for anyone that wanted to come from BA. I live in NE Columbia just down the street from Sandhills.

    I'd be interested. From Columbia, but live in Charleston now and get back home a good amount. Could work it in to my schedule if there was a smidge of advance notice.

    You guys keep me posted if you decide to all get together for a tasting. I might make the trip down... Gotta see my good buddy kkipple again and returned all those condoms he brought up to Charlotte when he saw me last. Not sure what his intentions were, but it sure was a good time...

    You're more than welcome to host then. When would people be interested in having this? I was thinking June 16th would be good since it's about a month in the future.

    I am moving down to Columbia next week and would love to be a part of a tasting to meet beer people in my new town. Will have to try to truck down some solid midwest beers.
