Please provide some evidence that this product is beer-based, as, like I said before, I'm 99.9% certain they contain no beer.

p.s. you're an expert @Todd - enlighten us - is every malt beverage beer, as some on this thread have suggested?

I don't think you've read the entire thread - This is my third time having to assert that the product in question contains no beer-base.

If you remove it you'll have to remove a bunch of DFH craft malternatives

My point is if Cran-ber-ita, is not a beer because it's a malt beverage, then the beloved WnB is not a beer either, should we remove that from the site as well?

I never said that everything listed as a malt beverage is beer - just replying to your idea that malt beverage and beer are mutually exclusive.

Please. Removing stuff like Brr ita whatever will drastically lower the humor factor on this site. Think the Daily show without FOX news.

There's Bud Light Lime in it. Says so on the label, so one could argue that it's beer-based.

The more important question: How much beer is actually in it? Is it really just "a twist" or is the majority of the volume Bud Light Lime? And back to your original post: Should it be classified as a beer? The outcome of which would determine its fate on BA.

    So, we're listening ...

You're right, I didn't read the entire thread and am now here to eat my words. From the ab website "Cran-Brrr-Rita, a limited-edition winter offering that combines the taste of a cranberry margarita with a splash of Bud Light Lime." That certainly implies to me that the base beverage is a margarita mixer type deal and only a splash of beer is in there. I agree with your original point.

Nope, and this is why I don't understand why this site doesn't allow ciders or meads.

I stand completely corrected (I've never had the stuff [therefor have never had a chance to decide to 'dislike' it]) nor have I purchased it or carefully examined the label. Sorry for wasting everyone's time.

I'm now every bit as curious as you - this is the new discussion.

It's simple: regardless of this thread, cider and mead are not beer.

What's the verbiage on the label? If memory serves from seeing the promotional info, there's some jargon about it containing 'a Twist of Bud Light Lime' - could it be that the folks in AB Marketing have decided that a hint of lime flavor constitutes a 'twist' of something? I still am not sure I believe it contains a drop of actual beer.

Perhaps a special section for " Malternative" reviews? Obviously somebody likes them because they sell!
They are derived from fermented barley malt / grains so ......
And,to say they don't taste like beer isn't valid either. I recently reviewed a Founders' Rubaeus that tastes exactly like raspberry soda!

Bud light lime is a beer with lime in it. So if it has Bud light lime in it, it has beer in it.

    The end.

According to AB, this is how the Lime version is made:

My point is that I haven't seen any real evidence that it contains any Bud Light Lime.

It's stated right on the web site! What evidence do you need? Lol...

Now the question is : How much filtering , blending, additions, etc. render a beverage no longer beer?
Think Jello, the only Kosher pork product!

Not to beat the dead horse, which is quite thoroughly dead, but you seem to believe this discussion is about Bud Light Lime. It is not. Please refer to the original post.
