    Do it.

    I've only had 60min on tap in NYC before, it was excellent. Completely different beer of course

    Homebrewed DIPA

    Bottled this last weekend, just doing a "carbonation test"

    It's carbonated

    being only 3 weeks old since I brewed it with a large amount of hops, it is rather excellent. Also I don't like sweet or full bodied DIPAS that much so I made this is quit dry and relatively thin - it's still 8% though, so it's loopy juice for me

    Could be my best yet I think!

    excellent day at Hawkshead for the Spring Beer Festival, as always the beers are in very good condition. Took the opportunity to go through the selections from Siren; Undercurrent, Liquid Mistress and Broken Dream. From Tiny Rebel; Hank, Loki and Dirty Stop Out. From Wild Beer; Scarlet Fever, Fresh, Stalker and Madness IPA. Standout beers were Stalker and Broken Dream. Also tried a couple of the Keg beers on offer from Magic Rock and Hawkshead and comparing Keg & Cask NZPA, a close call but I prefer cask.
    Next visit July 17th for Summer Beer Festival

    To the Rose & Crown at Hose today, began with Bateman's new Black and White , a decent though uninspiring mild and then tried the house beer, Tetley's Bitter. A beer I tend to overlook but it was in perfect nick, full of lovely layers of flavour and I can see why it's the best seller there.

    I tried a sample of Star Brewery's Cosmo. Stuffed full of American hops which I'm beginning to get less and less interested in.
    An interesting array of pump clips , here's a part of it;

    This evening was The Kernel IPA Amarillo, Beavertown 8-Ball, and Beavertown Black Betty.

    Marquis, that seems a bit harsh on the American hops front. I guess the real lesson is throwing American hops in a brew doesn't magically make it better, but I wouldn't take that out on the hops.

    Meh - it was OK but a bit weird. My impression was that it sort of straddled two beer styles (English strong ale and Belgian dark ale) but didn't sit comfortably with either. Not horrible but rather indistinct.

    I'm currently on a Partizan Grisette (Styrian Goldings). Rather good.....

    Cracked a 2010 Uinta 27th Anniversary Barleywine from the 'cellar', just because i'm home for the weekend. Nice but those strong US hops really don't belong in this kind of a beer. It's like that hop cheese I had. Hops are great, but they need the right platform.

    Broughton Hopopotamus and Willacade , two sub 4% hoppy golden ales, both pretty decent. Also aSir Ryan The Pounder, brewed at everards for wicked weed. so-so, bit muddled
