    A thread for news/reaction.

    Black Note is drinking really nicely at Bryant Lake right now. Good price for a 10 ounce pour. The beer is so smooth my wife who despises bourbon and bourbon tasting beers said: hey, it's alright! With not a little surprise. On the other hand I who like bourbon enjoyed it and though the beer isn't offering a bourbon punch in the mouth, I still found the bourbon present and full. Just smooth is all.

    Agreed on all counts, it's wonderful. As is the BA Blackout Stout at the Butcher and the Boar. I'd give the edge to the good folk at Bell's, though it's close. I thought the Harry Magills was fine, it reminded me of a Winter Warmer.

    There is still about a gallon of BA Blackout left in the keg. The beer garden opens at 3pm. By the way its a 2009, I posted the event both here and on mnbeer. We also have rally drum on tap. Thursday fulton. "the ringer" & cask worthy adversary + central wAters
    illumination and bourbon barrel stout

    Today at 3PM the BLB will have Surly Tea Bagged Furious with Simcoe pouring on the beer engine and Rush River's Bubble Jack with Lavender gravity pouring from a cask off the bar. At 7:00 we tap Lagunitas' Waldos' Special Ale, if you haven't tried this punch in the face of a double IPA, don't miss out. Also, we still have some black note and Harry Magill's left.

    Drinking '09 GI Night Stalker, Tallgrass 8-Bit Firkin w/ Raspberry and Cascade, Odell Shenanigans and Dble Pils and Boulder Saison du Miel and Left Hand Smoke Jumper at Pat's Tap right now. All $4 per pour til 7pm. Ridiculous.
