[BC] March Beer Releases

Fourwinds Triplicity Belgian Triple brewed with wild sage honey (750ml corked and caged) hitting shops today.

 

Anyone get any multiples on the 750ml (LPK/etc) Cantillons? I've got some Bruery beers to trade come spring if you do...

 

Iris, Gueuze, etc not a problem - but LP, FF were a gong show. I know that a couple people managed to get enough to trade a bottle or two but it will be slim picking. BTW Bruery's distro in BC is getting pretty good, but any wax tops (other than Bois) are probably still game

So uh... I managed to order a case of Singularity through BCL. I placed the order a couple of weeks ago but I never heard back from them, so I figured they weren't able to order it in. Turns out they just lost my phone number. I'm kind of amazed they were even able to not only order it, but hold on to it for so long.

 

So we've finally "caught up" the U.S. I see. Guess we only have about 1-2 years before even the "lesser" Cantillon are "limit one" at most places and sell out the same day.

 

That's a bummer. I remember the Lou Pepes, Lamvinus, Vignerones, etc. sitting around for a while even a year ago up there.

 

Yeah, not anymore. Gone within hours, or faster. The last shipment was especially small though too, which was part of the problem. And no Lam or Vig

 

The brewery spreads its love and it is great that western Canada is part of it. Cantillion can't and won't grow so get used to there only being little amounts it.

 

You mean after being around over 100 years they're not willing to just change their setup to meet this new-found increase in demand?

I'm not at all complaining, I am just justifying the lack of trade stock. I am very thankful that Cantillon has included western Canada, if not a little surprised. It's not something to be taken for granted because it could change any time.

 

Seems Central City Imperial Porter is being discounted at most stores right now, including the LCB. It's down to around $9 for a bomber. Still kinda steep, but better than before.

 

Hmmm, not too sure actually - I don't recall it being bottled before this year. Maybe that's a newer bottling you spotted?

 

AK Alive is fantastic. Where'd you see it? Beerthirst just told me today it wouldn't be on shelves for a week lol...
