Founders did it right this year with the KBS bottle release. On line tickets/one click (if you were lucky)/easy access to bottle pick up. I avoided Saturday and did mine on Thursday. I realize not everyone has that freedom with their jobs, etc. But the process was excellent. I assume the lines today are long for tap release.

I've had so much KBS already that I can't taste the difference in anything else I try

    Someone's sensitive!

Still a line around the building. But that's cool. Keep pretending.

How has anyone not mentioned how great the kbs jambalaya is. Holy moley. And lest anyone thinks otherwise. Wait in line. These beers on tap are amazing.

Agreed Donco. I went for the Wednesday pick-up this year and was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I won't be down this weekend fighting the crowds for KBS on tap. The smart bet is to wait until next week or the following week to hit Founders. It's amazing how easy it will be, even on a Saturday, to walk in a get a KBS on tap. No lines, no waiting...

Last year in April, I started with a flight that included Doom and KBS then enjoyed a snifter of KBS. Truly a great afternoon and a day I'll remember. Of course, Mrs. Breakfast Stout had to drive home...

I have to return to Philly Monday. So I'll be looking for KBS when it arrives shortly after 4/1. The Hunt Continues...

Was there around 11:15 this morning and had to wait about 30 mins or so to get into the brewery. Used to lines at this point so not too bad. There was a steady line to get into the brewery all the way through even until we left about 2pm. They had KBS '13 on in addition to '14 which was nice. Thought the '13 was drinking great. Had Panther Cub. Didn't live up to the hype to me personally but to each their own. Bottle line was a piece a cake just like last year. Apparently someone from Hawaii flew into Chicago and rented a car to GR for their KBS. Dedication there. Kudos to Founders as they know how to run a bottle release well. Hope to be back next year.

Would have loved to try panther cub but founders line was around the corner when I got here. Went to Perrin, had an awesome day. Came back to founders for the past few hours and have enjoyed everything. People I have met have been nothing but welcoming. Appreciate it all. Cheers

Pretty fun event. Panther cub and KBS were drinking amazing, but gotta say that Das Radikal and MF Donkey stout were the best beers of the day.

13 and 14 right next to each other. No discernable difference.

The bottle pickup was ridiculously easy! No line, no wait, no mess just show your tix & ID then off you go

I was in line about 1pm for about 40 min then at the door we realized the person I was with brought her expired ID (2 weeks ago was her bday) so we couldn't get in so we went to Perrin & tried everything they had. I went back to a Founders about 10pm, grabbed a KBS and 2 KBS glasses before taking off

I was there earlier today around 2PM to grab my KBS. I wanted to go inside and get a growler and a couple KBS glasses but the line was too long. I really wish they would sell the KBS glasses where they sold the KBS as well as the general store. That way people just grabbing their KBS could also get a glass without dealing with a clusterfuck.

Either way, im sure the glasses will go onsale online sometime in the near future.

I won't say that MF Donkey was a better beer, but it may have been more enjoyable when I was drinking it. I had serious expectations when I went into Panther Cub, and yes it was very good but not mind blowing. MF Donkey was a tier 1 beer that I was initially skeptical about and wound up really surprising me. Maybe not the best beer but possibly the best drinking experience.
