Andover, NJ brewpubs or spots to hit

Closest I can think of would be about 10 minutes away in Sparta. The Mohawk House is gorgeous and has a bunch of taps. Probably like 50ish. As far as brewpubs go, there's Krogh's in Sparta as well. I've only been once and wasn't too crazy about the place.

How far are you willing to travel? I can definitely recommend some more places, but you're prob looking at like 30 minutes minimum drive anywhere. Andover's kinda out there.

And some quick comments on each one.

Angry Erik - New brewery that just opened up. Haven't been or really heard much.
Mohawk and Krogh's - see above
Long Valley - nice place. food pretty good. beer is mediocre.
Morris Tap - place is awesome but $$$.
High Point - they brew Ramstein beers. Good German styles. I've never actually been, but threw them on there b/c they're the truest (and basically only) brewery in all of North Jersey.

 

Angry Eric Brewing Co. is opened Lafayette, NJ.

I take it "truest and basically only" is a dig at the several contract breweries in the area but (though, granted, out of the way for the OP) most would consider New Jersey Brewing Co. and Cricket Hill, both north of 78, to be in North Jersey.

 

I really dk what the hell I meant by truest, to be honest. Maybe the only one that makes decent beers?
